Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

Big layoffs

Union Pacific is laying off 5% of 5600 management jobs or 280 managers

Today we heard about layoffs from:

Panera bread
Schwab
Capital one
Abbvie
Wayfair

Layoffs are accelerating. Here’s hoping Enbridge moves fast and hard. Anything that sits above direct operations needs a 30% cut. The barrels and money will still flow. Greg this is your chance!!!

We’ll….McKinsey is in the house. So nothing like paying millions to a consultant to mess up an organization. Bain did so well in 2016 with Building Our Energy Future. I guess that future was only 7 years.

SCM has too many “people leaders” and “technical manager”, they need to look at it and scrutinize if they are really needed.

Well the job cuts is unavoidable. The sad part is it's always front line worker.
The leaders get away untouched. If Enbridge want to see a change they need to bring out of box thinkers. The old boys club need to go.

ELT need to understand we are in this sh-t show because of present leadership who had failed to add towards baseline. This applies to projects, scm and BD(gtm)

How many projects work when rates are 8%?

Time to slow the growth, axe major projects, BD, NET, etc and start being mindful of the balance sheet.

The amount of deadweight at this company sets a very low bar for everyone else!

Our projects team is abysmal. We have a ton of FTEs in projects, we can’t build anything worth a sh-t, everything we do build is overpriced because our standards are ridiculous. Let’s wh--e those big projects out to a third party and be done with it. It would be more cost efficient and effective.

Can’t argue with major projects. Just a ridiculous org chart filled with people who don’t actually work on any projects.

And some departments could stand far more than a 30% cut…infrastructure planning and major projects springs to mind.
