Not sure if this is a one-off or more broad of an issue, but in going through the background check process for a new employer I discovered that whatever data was fed in ADP's The Work Number for title didn't match my actual title. This raised a red flag during the background check process.
If you've been part of an SS&C RIF it probably makes sense to pull a copy of your report/data and see what they reported. You'll most likely need to provide documentation or enlist the help of the People Center folks at SS&C to get something to provide to whoever is doing background check follow-ups.
Just thought I'd share in case this is helpful to anyone applying for a new job.
