Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

I’ve been on short term disability through Sedgwick and was notified today that I was being laid off. Do you think I’ll still continue to collect short-term disability? Been with TD and then we got acquired so perhaps 6 years of service total. How much severance package yields?

I worked in Risk and I didn’t even check work while on disability so I am lost as to who is gone.

Can I collect short term disability and unemployment?

Didn’t like the Schwab culture. I’m thinking of having a layoff party for those in San Diego with a Schwab piñata, prizes and food.

Sounds good. My boss had no information at all. Appreciate the info! I don’t like being a Schwabbie. I have a feeling Schwab will be nothing soon. Kind of happy to take a break from work.

Dear OP, sorry to hear. I would try to contact HR. You are supposed to receive a termination email, so not sure how this works in your case. HR may be best to help you with this as your situation is less common. Good luck.

You should get details in the mail. There was also an email sent out that we were asked to forward to our personal email. If you didn’t get a chance to do that, then the physical packet should provide you with the info.
