A number of career consultants (recruiters) and some associated teams were informed of a company-wide layoff on 10/24/23 in the morning.

I did not get laid off yesterday, but my manager told me just put my head down, work hard, and “this is a wake up call for everyone to appreciate that you have the opportunity to work here” WHAT A JOKE.
I will be finding a new job ASAP. What they did to all of us yesterday was unacceptable and cruel.
I was so disappointed and disheartened by the events of yesterday. After 2 and a half plus years with the company I was eliminated just like that. The worst part was my director who I worked closely with treated me as if she didn’t even know who I was while reading the robotic script prepared by HR. Questions were not answered but avoided with a scripted response, it was heartless and cold. I can say for the first time ever I felt less than human. I do not feel I was treated with dignity nor respect, my access to everything was gone in less than a half hour which tells me that as soon as they got off the zoom call an IT ticket was submitted to disable everything. I couldn’t even tell my team bye. To top it all off, those of us part of this lay off are now left scrambling to find jobs in quarter 4 right before the Holidays in a volatile job market before our pitiful severance offerings run out. The last thing I will say is I wish I could have recorded the look of despair on my kids faces when I told them how my day at work had been to send to the entire executive team and those who were part of this decision. I really did love this company and I am so sad things had to end this way.
I wasn't part of the layoffs but multiple friends, a family member, and coworkers I deeply care for were affected. I am disgusted and scared heading to clock in today. What is the future looking like? When will I be next? I am heartbroken for the staff who were cut and the way it was done. I listened to the cut for one that was let go they did and it was a script read and no remorse behind it. Everyone was in panic mode all day not knowing what is happening. Managers left in the dark and now the staff left have to clean up the mess of the medsol massacre. I'm so sorry to those who were cut, you deserved better.
Woke up this morning and it hit me like a ton of bricks again that I don’t have a job. The anxiety is heavy on my chest and I’m panicking once again. I can’t believe what MedSol has done to us. I miss my team! It is sick how they destroyed lives! I hope they pay!! I’ll join the fight but can’t afford to start it!
I was part of the lay offs today and very disgusted by how they handled it. They play favorites and do not care about their employees. I know many that still have jobs and scared for when the next wave is. This is the second time in the last 4 years this has happened. They care more about money than they do their employees. I hope everyone who still has a job thinks hard about if they want to continue working for medsol. I was told to log off right after my meeting and give no one on my team notice. They do not care about their employees, cannot stress this enough!!!
Anyone here from Host Healthcare that was laid off? Curious how their experience was…

In my severance letter I counted 397 people but it had a line that said some of them were yet to be determined to be laid off. So I was curious if anyone knows for sure, and how do they hold that many exit interviews in one day? I mean mine only took 7 minutes so I guess it can happen.
Apparently, Thanos was in charge of how the employees terminated with zero warning were determined today, because it could not have been more random. This company and its morale among the employees has drastically dipped since about March, but I was completely blind sighted by this. The company prides itself on putting humans first, and then warned some of us at 9am that the metaphorical s had hit the f, but sit tight for 6 hours to be sure if you were one of the ones canned. Coming from someone who’d never gotten less than a 90% on all of my audits, I guess this was my karma for speaking up when I was being micromanaged to the point of depression. From those of us who were laid off today, to those who remain scrambling to pick up the pieces, I cannot fathom a worse way to handle one man’s greed and financial instability. Good luck MedSoul-less, and happy holidays from our brand new mortgage lender and three children.
I wasn't one who was let go today, but wanted to say a few things. The way the company handled things today was really unprofessional. Having everyone have extreme anxiety all day today not knowing if they would have a job at the end of the day was completely uncalled for. Making trying to get ANY work done today nearly impossible in between the constant panic attacks that were occurring. Secondly, the company was told repeatedly that jobs were secure and that layoffs weren't going to occur. But then this happens today with no notice, everyone blindsided (including managers who had no idea what was going on), and making everyone on edge not knowing their fate. The core values this company preaches on was not demonstrated today.
Even though I wasn't let go, it definitely has me questioning my future with this company after today. For those who were let go, I am so so sorry. None of you deserved that today. The lack of compassion, care, and the way this was handled today was not it and has not gone unnoticed.
For those asking the number, in the severance email there’s a list I believe it’s just under 600 people.
Exactly we need to know the for sure number.
How do we know how many people were let go
Med Sol is the worst company I’ve ever encountered. The layoffs on 10/24 were the second I’ve seen in less than 4yrs. Add in the managers that retaliate, harass, and beat down their employees on top of being horribly paid. Guessing the layoff wasn’t random. They probably based it on the Glint surveys or something. Those are NOT anonymous and the managers know who wrote every comment when reading them. All I can say is good riddance and if anyone has proof of bad dealings, file with the NEOC and possibly a lawsuit for the layoff. I know multiple EEOC claims against Med Sol right now.
Do we know if they truly fired the 397 people that were on the list in our severance package? Part of the list said it was to be determined like they hadn’t decided yet.
This is completely insane. I worked for Med Sol for four years and 10/24 is the second lay off I’ve seen. This company is a joke. I worked in the traveler payroll department and let me tell you, I’ve never seen a department so full of employees to do absolutely nothing! There has been a 500% increase in payroll employees but only a 25% increase in work. They even created other “sub-departments” for payroll so the specialists literally just do data entry. Apparently it takes 80 people to enter timesheets. There’s one over staffed department thanks to Nicole T.
Then add in that payroll isn’t even done correctly. The traveler payroll hasn’t balanced since May 2020, which was a one time fluke. Consistent balancing hasn’t happened since 2019. They can’t even enter the information correctly!
But when you break it down, the payroll department is TOXIC. They let a wife be manager over her husband, best friend manage friend, and the managers will promote people that have been at the company 1 month over someone that’s been there years. I know someone terminated this Spring because a coworker got a “Welcome to the Payroll Team” email and Nicole T said it was sarcastically toned, so harassing. Right. No way that’s retaliation for the two HR investigations about the payroll managers! Then that same person had a glitter bo-b sent to her home!
It’s bad enough all the stuff going on with Medical Solutions but then adding in that those Glint surveys are not Annonymous and that the pay is like 20% below national average, this company is just the worst. Working at McDonalds sounds better than ever working at Medical Solutions!

DO NOT BE SHEEP, CRAIG THINKS YA ALL WILL TAKE THE CRUMBS, CRY, AND THIS GOES AWAY.
It probably will. UNLESS ANYONE, SOMEONE, ENOUGH SPEAK OUT.
LIONS ROAR SHEEP WEEP.
It was heartless, calculated, and insulting. Everything MedSOUL claims not to be. FAMILY? Only theirs and their MILLIONS $ matter while others will be struggling to pay bills on unemployment over the holidays.
NEVER FORGET.
— Someone NOT impacted today but beyond sorry and sad for everyone who was. And not naïve enough to believe this isn’t JUST THE START
I know there's another comment below about this, but please look into your rights before you sign the severance package. This will all depend on the total percentage of people they laid off today, but they did not file a report with WARN. I sent an email to the Nebraska Department of Labor today and got this link back: https://www.dol.gov/agencies/eta/layoffs/warn
There's a phone number and an email address to contact:

So sorry for everyone else going through this. I am still in shock tonight over this completely unexpected layoff, and while I'm glad to know I wasn't the only person who experienced the cold, robotic, scripted layoff, I wouldn't wish this on anybody else.
I thought so highly of this company. I informed everyone that could listen how great of a company Medical Solutions was. Is extremely distasteful how they treated us. No real notice, no emotion or care in the world because their job is secure. I do not feel this was random. I think this was discussed, thought about then executed. How can you fire staff of 5+ or even 20+ years as if they’re nothing? Who ever mentioned worse job ever is ABSOLUTELY correct! Medical Solutions is constantly being sued and that’s why Craig doesn’t want us going to the press. I say we all get together and sue and give them a taste of their own medicine! Company values and NONE were displayed today! Many of us without jobs. Blessing in disguise it might be..
Merry Christmas, you’re fired.
I’m in shock and feel like I’m stuck in a nightmare. This company assured us employees they were only growing and were one of the fastest growing staffing companies. WRONG!!!!!!! There was an email sent from Craig early morning on 10/24/23 and he basically said some BS about how the pandemic is over but they are still staffed at the pandemic level. If that was the case… why was I CONSTANTLY working every minute (except my lunch break) until I clocked out for the day? After that, I STILL HAD TONS OF WORK LEFTOVER!!!!!!!!! Aside from the sad, pathetic excuses of letting people go, the way they went about it was traumatizing. After I received the company email, I was sent an invite for a meeting titled as “Touch Base” okay?? Touch base on what? How sh*tty of a company and humans you are???? I got let go and the Gigi literally read off a script the ENTIRE time…. While she was reading the BS excuses, I started crying because I was so upset. There was no remorse, sadness, or emotion from Gigi or the HR person that was in the meeting. Thanks to Medical Solutions I am scrambling to find another job so I can pay my bills. Pathetic company and I will NEVER, EVER recommend. Shame on you!!!!
Shoutout to Diana NG for being the most emotionless and cold hearted of them all. I’ve heard how she was when she let some of my friends go…. Ashamed to work under her leadership.
That fact that people who don’t even show up to work, and those who have been there for less than 1 month didn’t get laid off, but people with 2+ years experience did… whoever made these choices must have the IQ of a rock.
This has been devastating to the team i am on, this was my 2nd day and large chunk of the team was fired. Very low moral and i dont understand how this is going to work in the long term
I had a meeting scheduled with the manager and a benefits person before I even got the video message from Craig! I got it around 9am and the meeting wasn’t until 4… they really expected me to work all day? I am in billing and they just came out with a new program and kept telling us our jobs are safe but now look… they laid off half of my billing team including two leads…
I truly feel they picked names at random because someone that started the same time as me stayed but people who were there over 2 years were let go. How does that make sense? My direct managers didn’t even know what was happening, they were so in the dark. I feel they should have at least got some warning.
I cried all day but my mother said she bets it’s a blessing in disguise because now everyone left will be so overworked and I bet she’s right. Everyone on my team was swamped with work and backed up, with upset clients because of the software switch so this truly was the worst time to do this. I don’t know how they expect MAYBE 10 people to do the work that a team of 20+ was doing… They’re going to end up losing accounts.
I loved working there and always said I was so lucky to have a great job. I never had a day where I didn’t want to clock in. Seriously so heartbroken over this.
Somewhere along the way they lost sight of their company values, I guess.
Servant leadership - sounds a lot like slavery is my response next time someone asks me to define what the term felt like or meant to me.
I did not get fired but boy do I have stuff to say. First off how are they going to send us an email telling us our jobs are secured and that we may not see a “bonus” until it picks up. Today we all logged in and had a video email to watch that basically sent as ALL in a panic because no one (not even managers) were aware of this. Then we each had to sit all day and pray we didn’t get an invite for a meeting. They were sending new ones every hour until about 1. It’s truly sad we all had high expectations and then they let people down like this. There had to be a way to notify people not just the day of. There also had to be a better way to let people go instead of making them work all day to only be told they were being let go of effective immediately. For a company that PRAISES MedSOUL (I could laugh) they sure didn’t have any soul reading that script off. At least act sad, make it sound personable. Now that people were let go of they told us we should all be fine now, no that’s not how you guys make it feel. Now I’m sitting here wondering when I will be cut off. And I know they have all these extra pay outs for one certain department while the rest of us just wait to see if we will get a bonus. As someone who was super proud to say where they worked at I can strongly say I will not be recommending this company to anyone.
Treated with dignity and respect? “ your position has been terminated.” Mmm, respectful. Those of you who are left, good luck. Get ready for a McDreamy ;) exit like the rest of us. Id day those of us laid off are the fortunate ones.
And to those who were the ones to do the lay offs, congratulations, you are face of the flop that was Medical Solutions. Hope you’re proud of a company that gave out minimal severance, no paid out sick/vacation pay, and got a scripted goodbye.
I’m ashamed to have been proud to be a MS employee. What a pathetic company.
Have to add—A company that made 150 MILLION in the year 2022 giving the bare minimum of a severance. Trashhhh. Lol But you value and appreciate your employees right? Where is Ketv and Wowt news when I wanna talk Craig? 😆
I was one of the “chosen ones” today. I didn’t receive an email until late morning and was suppose to work a few hours before the meeting. The severance is garbage, I was suppose to get a stipend for a friend getting hired in IT in 2 weeks, I have kids and the holidays are coming. I have great performance reviews, no drama, I keep to myself for the most part. Loved my team and managers, and they all reached out after it happened. It’s all very sketchy. It was completed scripted as mentioned by others and no empathy in the delivery. Our team lost a handful of employees, people that have been there for 20+ years lost their jobs today. It’s truly heartbreaking and I truly loved MS.
Maybe they should give away 100 more $8000 trips to California 🙄
Not the ceo sending out an email at the end of the day to everyone who made it though the first round of the hunger games saying that all their “friends were treated fairly with dignity and respect and offered a severance”. BOY you had some people read a teleprompter to everyone then proceeded to toss day-old croutons at them as a parting gift. Our definitions of fairly, dignity and respect must differ greatly.
Have to say my favorite part was letting miss Kim and that other gal know at the end of letting me go that next time they should most definitely be alittle more personable instead of reading off a computer screen! Craig mentioned everyone would be treated fairly and with dignity and respect? WHERE!?What a joke. I have 3 little kids and a 2 weeks severance? My sister worked for a far worse company and they gave her 12! Slap in the face to everyone! I hope everyone left got a glimpse of how they treat their employees and that we are just a number! Get out now and leave them struggling!
I was fired as retaliation from the Russian in accounting. She used this as a platform to clean out the staff that stood up to her cr-ppy tactics. They talk about servant leadership. She’s not about servant leadership. They lie about that. The one time you express opinion. Your time is up.
The worst possible way they could have done this. Super robotic, cold and heartless. Was told to log off immediately after the meeting, which consisted of a VP reading a script like a robot. A horribly dark day for all of us that were affected, and honestly I can’t imagine those who were spared even want to be there anymore after this.
Absolute trash! To be told via a video from a man with slurred speech and then having to wait and see if you got the email was insanity. My favorite part was when the CEO stated that no one talk to the press and direct all questions to someone within the company. I’m sorry, you lay people off and then tell them they can’t talk about it? To he-l with your name, sir. If you were one of the ones taken down today I urge you to look at the paperwork you were sent to see the list of people let go and the list of people retained. Why add that in? Tomorrow all the ones retained will have a meeting letting them know that “as a family we need to come together and take on this extra work”. Family, sure. Red flag.
The audacity to call it a severance package when some people only got 1-2 weeks pay. They are also fighting not to pay out any sick pay! Everyone contact an attorney to look over everything!
Just another corporate company not giving two sh--s about their employees as the boost every chance they get telling everyone how much money they brought in. Good luck to all, I’d like to think of this as a blessing in disguise. People deserve better.
I got a joke of a severance right before the holidays. Now, when a company brags it's the "best place to work", I see nothing but red flags.
MS spectacularly tripped over their own revenue targets, and guess who got the axe? The employees, of course. Company throws a massive hiring fiesta, and then, surprise, surprise, the pink slips come flying in.
Lawsuits have been filed previously. I’ll just leave this here. I hope they like picking up soap.

MS let go of the entire social media team. As a recruiter, who the fu-k am I supposed to get my leads from now?!
