Are all these meetings landing in STS?

I think it's clear STS will be heavily impacted.

It's unclear to what extent similar meetings are landing in Ops, Retail, and other orgs though.

I hate my team and org. Too much work and stress. Hope I get moved to a better team and org in the re-org , if I survive the layoffs.

My MD put a meeting on my calendar this week as well. They do skip-level meetings a few times a year so maybe it is coincidence. There's no one else on the meeting invite listed.

With the blocked time for multiple MDs next week I agree it will be next week starting on 10/31 or 11/1. Complete speculation on my part but looking at calendars it lines up, but then again, those in the know are not letting it slip...yet. BUT like all things I imagine it will slip out in the next day or two. 10/31-11/1 may be the event maybe not.

@ixp+1pfBzb3i I guess that could either be very good (no one impacted) or very bad (MD not in the loop).

What is the subject of said Private Appointment? Is there a dial-in? Who is it coming from? I don’t see anyone blocked for that time

Received updated monthly 1:1 with my MD from next Friday (11/3) to next Wed (11/1). Not sure if it means anything other than meeting moved but have had the hunch for some time now.

I do see that multiple MDs have the same time blocked on 10/31-11/2.

No Senior Mgr received it, it sounds like. Director and higher and only if you have impacted folks (or YOU’RE on the list)

Can confirm there is a meeting tomorrow. But I wasn’t invited. So not good for me.

My PL has the meeting on their calendar - their leader has it, and a handful of other PLs in my relatively small org do too. Who shared the meeting is a big question I feel like I might’ve missed or hasn’t been asked yet.

It’s real. I can look at a few PLs on my calendar. 2 Directors and 1 Sr. Mgr have this meeting scheduled. Also have verbal confirmation from a few other PLs. I’m putting my money on Thursday because they don’t want this to leak all over into next week. The cat will be out of the bag by lunch tomorrow.

This is not a joke. I know for a fact that several PL Directors and MD's have a private appointment on their calendars tomorrow providing them updates on the people actions that will be taken. Since not all PL Directors and MD's are not invited, I think we can ascertain this meeting is for the Directors and MD's who have impact people on their teams. Ask around, this is not fake news.

I feel the IDF members on standby, getting for a brutal ground invasion. Every little detail is blown up, analyzed, talked about, speculated on. And sadly, at the end of the day, we may find this is all nothing, and continue to wait.

there was a similar private meeting last Wed (10/18) at 11ct appearing on some leaders calendars as well.

I’ve seen many of these appointments in multiple orgs all around the midpoint of the day for both ICs and PLs. For one PL, they have the same meeting on Wednesday and Thursday.

Looks like my director, his MD and also one of my Director friends have this Private meeting at 11 CT. I can only see that the meeting says “private” for my director but they all have a meeting in this hour. Still speculation but it’s interesting to try and figure out :P

Once it has happened let us know the results OP.

To the OP. You are probably safe, if this is related to layoffs. They would never send out a meeting request a day before. It would come during the morning of the day, and you will essentially have almost no notice.

PL director here. I did not get this meeting but I do see it on some of my peers’ calendars. Private appt from 12-1pm central time.

What is with Rama moving up? Where is this rumor coming from?

The re-org everyone is talking about is where Rama is at the root, and we all move up several levels by being converted into a B-tree (no, not a promotion).

AS recently had a reorg. Are we expecting a bigger reorg again? Is the re-org people talking,within an org or across orgs?

After the layoffs, followed by the major reorg, things will feel different. Right now sometimes I feel like our org is one long unbalanced binary search tree. After the reorg, we're gonna feel like keys in a B-tree. Flat org, close to the root.

this could be the "you have someone impacted here is how you handle it" training they do

they tell you how to read the script and deal with the employee if they get hysterical.

Looks like we are finally getting close to the layoffs. Probably will happen next week.
