Am hearing more and more rumors (from valid executive sources) that plans are well underway to outsource the majority of technology and infrastructure planning and implementation (including information security) starting in mid-2024 though early 2026. Would involve transferring some current employees to the vendor but with large scale layoffs occurring in phases. Being done for cost savings and “efficiency”.

thats ok....the tech department is incompetent in this company. I'm guessing 95% of their forged their credentials, i've never been at a bank which struggled so much to keep both an app and website up at the same time.
This is like 10 people that are in this function that would be affected.
Everything flows through Accenture already on the wealth side. New accounts now take 3-5 business days to be approved.
Let me guess, Accenture? Wow never saw that coming from the brain trust from SunTrust.
Nothing new. We have a few people in tech now who are really great, but if you have a problem with Salesforce, no help from Truist. You have to open a case with Salesforce and plan on talking to someone in SE Asia.
Envestnet (I’m in Wealth)? Internal people know little. Usually going to get a phone number to call and they say “we” don’t have the capability to do something basic
I know for a fact that Truist bought the most basic version of Salesforce’s CRM system which is why it is a piece of cr-p. I’m betting the same thing on Envestnet.
This is great! It allows SunTruist to focus on their core competencies, such as Byzantine committee based work approval frameworks with multi-layered intersectional approvals over email. This is the only way we can run the business at the speed of the market.
Who's going to come up with innovative designs such as a Weather widget in a banking app?
How did you Teammates this Bill the Butcher was going to save all that money on tech?
What we need to do is outsource the Executive team. It’s not like language would be a barrier, they don’t communicate anyway.
What a farce that the problem is everyone but the geniuses at the top who created this disaster.
So it’s becoming like Suntrust. 80% offshore.
Should have been done years ago. Can get the same lousy results for far less money.
Win-win-win
SunTruist would be better off outsourcing the tech execs. Start with Case and his directs, can't be any worse.
For the sake of my former team members, I left, I hope this is not true.
