Stock plung always sadly equal more WFRs.
So guess the next few quarters will be brutal.

I used to work at HPE a long time ago, went to HP, just got laid off and applied at HPE again just recently to a few positions. Why? I just want to provide for me and my family. I don't really care where the money comes from.

I was perfectly qualified for the job, all of them. Answered their technical questions fairly easily.

I got rejected on all positions. I was thinking to myself, "Well, okay... What happened?" Then I figured out that HPE is currently overhauling their sales teams and laying off en masse. So the hiring teams must be hiring internally. There's no other explanation... that or they are outsourcing to... cheaper alternatives.

Too bad for them. I don't really know anyone internally they could have hired because a lot of my colleagues from HPE have already retired or left the company. Who the hęll did they find internally to fill in those vacancies?

I don't think I'll be going back to HPE or big tech for that matter. Big tech is a joke nowadays. They're so investors-first, employees-second type of mentality. I won't say that there's no more talent as there probably some extremely intelligent people but they should be looking elsewhere. These companies don't even make their own products: they just slap their company logo on it.

Good luck, HPE. I was naiive to think I should go back, even just for the money. I also just realized that they massively underpay their employees.

I bet in a few years the down fall of HPE will be studied in MBA classes on how cutting your way to prosperity makes good business sense 👌. /sarcasm -off

So does this mean their strategy of fudging the figures by laying off people and moving jobs to third world countries is no longer working?
