We’re being asked to complete year end accomplishments, months before. Care Operations.

Sounds like they’re trying to find people to axe by EOY or very early Q1.

After I added a couple items to what I had recorded midyear I just submitted it because it is absolutely pointless to add more than what I had.
There is absolutely nothing that I could write that will change my score in a more positive direction from what they already decided to give me.

Leadership already submitted their year ratings for employee's last Friday. Per internal deadline. This isn't right, much less transparent, but it simply is.

I have been here well over a decade there has never been anything resembling an interactive conversation/process on reviews. I write goals, I write accomplishments, some senior leader I’ve never talked to decides if I get an L or P based on if I did something they knew of already then rinse and repeat.

This timeline is completely different than before. Two months of KPI being left out of this review process. There's reason for this other than it's a new system. I think that reason will be apparent pretty soon, based on the name of this website, you can assume what that might be.
To all the posts that the review process is broken, managers don't know anything..
From my view, this is an interactive conversation. The accomplishments the employee want talk about are in the control of the employee. You can choose make good or bad out of nearly any experience.

Mine wouldn’t write a review first but they’d get the scores done first. Then long after I wrote my accomplishments and they’d take one thing I did and write a little blurb about it on the document I’d have to sign to see my communication sheet.

This reason for this is because leaders had to write their review on you before you even put in your accomplishments. Now you can input your achievements for the year prior to them writing their response & grading you. Give you a better chance to sell yourself and get a higher rating.

That's not to say that they aren't looking at laying off more people. I'm hearing rumors about it for the holidays, but I don't know that these two are related.

This is first time official email asking for review update this early in Nov. This could be due to new HR system...Day ?
RIF has no logic of performance, so does not seem related to RIF..i guess RIF is just a number and no one gives sh** for performance.

Sounds like a pretty easily workable system. Just say you’re number one at everything in the company, take a vacation, and then take FMLA. Come back in March and chiilllll. Then if someone starts bothering you, get your fmla back on.

I mean, how lazy and positively useless are our "leaders' that they can't even perform that task for the people that work their as--s for you every single day? What are our leaders good for other than approving time? NOTHING. It is actually disgusting that we have to write our own reviews. & anytime this subject is brought up, they all use that same, LOUSY excuse, "because it is up to you to list all of your accomplishments." WHAT A LOUSY COPOUT PIECE OF GARBAGE PROCESS. PATHETIC. "PEOPLE LEADERS" our AS--S. SMH

At Verizon you have to tell your manager what you did well on. They don't keep track of it. The manager can't be expected to write your review, you have to write it for yourself, so they can email it back to you to sign. What a joke.

This is nothing new. Year end performance has always had to be completely finished by early December. Maybe your sup just wants more time to do their piece. You are reading too much into it.

I’ve complained for years that I shouldn’t bother doing them since they already decided the results but this hear they mentioned doing accomplishments first. I do expect it isn’t for a positive reasons though since it never is.
