Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

GET – OUT

I left Fiserv earlier this year and couldn't be happier! I got a big pay increase for a hybrid role with an amazing culture, so it's crazy to look back and realize that Fiserv employees are still coming into the office and being chained to their desks for 32 hours a week!

Reading over some of these posts, it's said to see that some people think they have to keep their job to the point of actually relocating them and their families to cr-ppy cities across the country! Have some SELF-RESPECT and look for better opportunities, because I can guarantee you that the grass is much, MUCH greener. Good luck!

Agree with @2wvf+1pZ7B55N

Those of us that weren’t let go early on are now in a position where jobs are hard to find. It’s not that we aren’t applying elsewhere, the market isn’t what it was a few years ago. So now we find ourselves being overworked, filling in for those that were let go early on, constantly having to train a new team all while trying to find time to apply to other jobs. It’s not a good place to be. I’m glad those that were let go early on were able to find other opportunities, meanwhile those of us that remain are hanging in there, barely.

Nobody is stuck. Keep looking!

You're best bet is to network with other colleagues in the industry.

Like other have said, many of us are looking, but haven't found a place yet due to local slumps in the market, special requirements like not being able to wait months for insurance (or paying cobra for max time, etc.)

And of course those of you that were lucky enough to get out quickly, you weren't backfilled, so we that are still here are working insane hours, non-stop, making it harder to look for a job, and do an interview if we can even get one on the hook.

People are getting called while on PTO. Those taking time off are being told they have to be ready to come back at a moments notice. "Unlimited pto" is being denied due to coverage, etc. I know a few people in the last couple of months that were out for medical and dental appointments; that while under sedation, were getting pages to come in immediatly to handle issues. It's crazy.

I approve this message! I've got kinda full remote job. (I'm required to be in the office for few hours once per month.) On top of that 40% pay rise and few hundreds of company cash that I can spend on myself or my family (electronics wellness culture health...)

Stop gloating.

Some of us are stuck -- we can't find better jobs elsewhere.
