Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Everybody I know is looking for a new job

Including me, of course. People are fed up. Many of us are not even going to wait to see what will happen in January, even if it means leaving severance behind. That's how badly we want out of this mess. I don't know if that was the aim or not, but that's what's happening.

We are going to wait until you use all your leave by December 31, because that's when most of it expires and we wont have to pay you. Then we will fire your azzes right before bonus time to also avoid that payment, but if you could leave before then that would be swell. Otherwise your azz is on the chopping block.

@fau, I have to agree. OP is just venting. Besides, competition is fierce. Not many companies are hiring. You won't find anything that quickly, unless you know someone who can hook you up. 💯

I don’t think you are. I think you are just posting this here because you think HR watches this site, and you think they would care what you said and somehow “report it”. Sorry to inform you that the HR people here are also just venting/looking for updates to see when they might be getting laid off as well

Exactly that was the aim - to push people to leave the company before being paid off.
