Is the 60 day notice a legal requirement or is it a WF policy

Federal statutory requirement 60 days notice. Wells gives 60 days non-working notice. Your access to systems are shut down by end of day same day given 60 days notice.

It’s a legal requirement if WARN is triggered, but with our size and spread it is pretty unusual that our layoffs are hitting WARN.

Its called the WARN notice and it may be working or non-working. Its federal law they provide this. Just remember you legally still work for Wells and so you can be fired. Just don't do anything that gives the company an easy way to avoid paying severance.

in most cases WF is giving non working notice for the 60 days, so while you still technically work for WF during that time, you lose all access.amd sit at home. Day 61 your severance kicks in and you no longer work for the firm.

So...I can login, do absolute minimum for 60 days, complain I'm a Victim, and still get paid for 60 days ? I might choose that instead of quitting...I'd take the red flag.
