Is Nike known for having end-of-the-year layoffs? I started this year so I don't know how it works yet, but my last company always laid off during the second week of December. I hope the same is not true here.

There is no way a cull isn’t at the top of the new CIOs to do. Just like with CDA biz will go first, tech will follow
@4mwu+1pRPXGLg TIO will come with the new CIO likely
@4ocb TIO isn't in TC's org
Beauty of Nike, you don’t. FYI there’s a great LuLu footwear testing director job posted up for you NSRL folk, I’d apply just to be safe if I were you
Any layoff from TIO or NSRL? Are these layoffs gonna continue this week? Was it today? When do we know?
@3rcj+1pRPXGLg Apparel innovation (nxt). Seems like only a couple people unless I’m mistaken
what happened with apparel today ?!
@3vid what about apparel?
The 7:30 for us was around NXT apparel org, happy holidays from the swoosh.. many will be out of a job soon.
Innovation also had 7:30 call this morning about reorg and layoffs. Told to WFH today.
@3nrb I’m also in apparel and haven’t heard anything.. what parts were included in that communication this morning?
GT org here - nothing so far.
Some are happing today.
Apparel Org here- last minute 7:30 meeting today on zoom, very short. Basically layoffs today, told us if we were headed into office to turn around.
Due to all of the executives changes and probably a mandate to reduce duplicated roles, I won't be surprised if there was some sort of layoffs next year. All industries like to follow each other so if you see other companies laying employees off, there's a good chance Nike will probably follow as well.
Preferably before the earnings call.
