How this company ( once a pretty good one ) has been destroyed by this merger with FD. What’s equally amazing is how adept these leaders are at surviving when you consider how actually Stupid they are.

Let's not start a finger pointing contest here. Anyone familiar with both companies' pre-merger situation (and there are a number of us) know that both companies had their fair share of lazy, inept, and knowledge lacking "talent". The problem is that the current execs made it too difficult for many with the knowledge and skills to stay. Those that haven't left already are biding their time for a good enough offer to jump ship.
The more time goes on the more you're left with the inexperienced new-hires and the legacies that never grew while they were here and won't easily find a new job. Both will bend over backwards for the abuse (newbies for not knowing better, and legacy for fear of losing their job) and probably beg for more. Neither will leave quickly, if at all.
I've seen more than my fair share of oFD and oFS too lazy to do their jobs, or unaware how to. Many won't, and far too many can't, learn the skills, processes etc. They'll continue to slide by with their heads down hoping that no one notices them.
Like many have pointed out, FB and cohorts are bleeding the place dry to get theirs.
Then they'll burn it to the ground; or sell it off for pieces when they don't think they're getting enough anymore.
Blame the oFD execs all you want. They've earned it. But don't pit the rank and file against one another. Both companies staffing profiles were quite similar all along, both in the good and the bad.
Does anyone know roughly the amount of de conversions we have vs new conversions?
Our clients are so pi$$ed and I don’t blame them. They will deconvert as soon as they can. I don’t have one happy client, which is just so sad….
At the GBS town hall, someone asked about a product that is being marketed, and leadership didn’t know what it was. Scary to say the least
Fiserv was in such a good place a schmuck can come in and milk it for years making themselves rich before bowing out. It’s what these KKR type places do. Feed off the cash cow and the 30yrs of work it took to build it. That and Uncle Frank is in the elite boys club of Wall St so as long as he does what they say they will pump the narrative
It's not even their higher leadership. The managers and staff I have had to deal with from OFD are unwilling to learn or even do their jobs after many attempts at explaining how OFS processes work when there is crossover between roles. So much "that's not my job" cr-p when it directly impacts clients. And then the active career sabotage attempts are insane all this he said she said is at a point now where when I have to provide data I never answer verbally it's always in email and teams. Need something now? That request will need to be in an email!
They. Just. Don't. Care.
And don't get me started on the new hires that had to come in to replace the proper talent that got pushed out due to antiquated thinking. I'm sure they mostly have great college experience, but their interpersonal skills are horrid. They take "casual dress" to a whole nother sub level; this is a corporation, not a club.
The problem is all of this is passed the point of no return and the ship is slowly going over the ledge.
I agree it is to the point now where it is impossible to care for your clients with this few resources…
During the GBS town hall, it was said we need to do more with less. We can't do our jobs to serve clients as it is now. Take away more tools and resources and we're really SOL.
They have one move. Firing people by forcing relocation. No talent, no creating.
I don’t think they are stupid. They are incredibly adept at doing whatever it takes to keep the stock price propped up regardless of the any detriment to clients or employees. For all the talk of social responsibilities (maybe start there for some cost cutting) this company has no regard for any responsibility to the client and employees it is all about the stock price. Let’s ask our clients - were you better served 3-4 years ago than now, when most groups have far fewer resources?
