It's peculiar that HR is marked as optional during layoffs. Any thoughts? I'm not expecting a miracle, but this seems unprofessional, especially with the short 30-minute duration. Has anyone else experienced this? Any insights on bonus and severance packages? Please share updates - any guidance is appreciated.

I have heard from other sources and I don’t know if it’s true or not, but some of these meetings are to inform of the impacts and this HR would not be mandatory. I think for people (like myself) who got emails that include the HR person we are definitely getting laid off. But who knows? Nothing about this is being done with any sense of professionalism or compassion for how we are feeling.
It shouldn't take the dear leaders more than 15 minutes to read the script that HR provided to them.
I read the bonus will be prorated.
These are supposed to be 15 minutes, but it's hard in Outlook to remember to change the default from 30 minutes to 15 minutes.
What time did you get that?
15 mins is what I am hearing 30 mins may be a mistake - but its ok. I heard random meeting invites were sent out with HOLD in the subject and 15 mins durations. B/w do you guys think we are going to be eligible for bonus?
Yes, HR is optional
Is HR Optional there too?
I got this evening
You may be getting promoted
Are they still sending invites? It’s almost midnight.
I have received one with the same subject and details but it is a 15 minute meeting
