Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

How is DeMaio still here?

How can any of us sit through today's all hands with a straight face while DeMaio and Martin put their usual BS spin on how two more directs (three in two weeks) have dropped mic on this dumpster fire and leaving Truist completely.

Lol, what key talent got us through the s-show that was MOE? The BCL lead I know who left was a clown.

You all got Tom!!!? Well there is a prize if ever there was one. Demaio has no idea how to establish or manage a council. She wants everyone else to do the job of her teams. They all have different priorities and definition of a control or an issue. Nothing will be consistent. Then she will berate folks as to why nothing is getting addressed and blame every other team but her own. Oh yeah I would also agree move them.

Problem is the key talent we need does not want to stay at the bank. Look at the BCL leaders from the merger. all the great ones left immediately to other regional banks for bigger roles after the merger and the remaining got stupid diff jobs internally. Says a lot

A 20 person operating council with an undefined mission and no charter has to be good for streamlining Truist and accelerating results, right? How could that possibly go wrong and create more complexity?

They literally said in the town hall that the new operating council don’t know what they’ll be doing yet. They said tbd.
If this was stated by DeMaio in a forum to Teammates it is an indictment of Bill n Beau and BOD. Even though it is no doubt true you can’t have one of your C suite people saying it out loud. I suppose the new board will decide how this next debacle will play out in Q1after all the worker bees are gone and no one is left to actually do work that contributes the bottom line. SMDH

Demaio will always leave a trail of destruction. Her group is useless and make everyone do the work her folks won’t and do not know how to do. She and her team have no idea of how anything works .

Simple answer. Go to the mirror and open your mouth as big as possible. Now double that and mystery solved.

EVERYONE across the organization is very aware what is going on. It's gotten serious as of late in the conversations I am privy to.

“ Can anyone shed light on how audit has been able to bring in some of the MUFG people as full remote and living states away? Is there a plan for them to move to Charlotte?”

The cluelessness is a site to behold. Either make them move, or do not hire them. None of them are anything special. Letting them have offices that sit empty is hilarious.

Audit should all just stand together and stop coming in. It won’t happen, but people have the power. They just don’t use it.

Yes, the explanation is “rules for thee but not for me”

MAM mentioned this board during her team meeting yesterday, so we know they are reading.

Operating council will be more paint on this pig. This is the Bill n Beau show. They will be making all the decisions and keeping this train off the tracks. Remember Bill owns the BOD as of 1 January.

Don’t be fooled about Winnie. She is not old BBT. She spent 20 years at BOA before joining BBT in 2015 and we know how Suntrust loves some BOA people.

She is one more example of how clueless and tone deaf the BOD is to all that is happening in this organization. She reports directly to the audit committee and administratively to Rogers. She has brought her entire group from MUFG that left a trail of destruction there over her last couple of years. EL and BOD seem to have an affinity for Kellogg school graduates and she gives them a bad name. But hey, never admit you were wrong and move on, not the SunTruist way.
