Thread regarding TransUnion layoffs

I know people who wouldn't mind getting the severance package

Maybe the ELT should have done a voluntary round first before deciding to cut people indiscriminately. Who knows, with so many employees being unhappy here for a while now, they might have even gotten enough to completely nullify the need for additional layoffs.

We asked if ppl could volunteer and were told no. Sev. Is 2 weeks per year employed

At my former job they offered a voluntary package to people over 55 with I think 10 years or more of service. It was pretty generous. Like 6 months salary and benefits + all stock vested. Lots of people took it.

Yeah, but that would have put power into the hands of the employees, not the bosses.

We can’t have that - people have to know that they’re not in control of their own jobs; that’s why the RTO policy, and now layoffs.
