This makes no sense, half of IT is remote, in different states, don't have offices near them, most of our team are 4 hours+ apart or in different states. RTO is a joke it LITERALLY makes no sense unless you are a customer facing branch employee or need to work in a data center and have a physical need. My RTO is my home office, that's all we have.

This is misinformation. I work in HR at Truist. We didn't want to wait until Dec so we are announcing this on November 31st. As an adjustment period, we are giving everyone until Feb 30th to comply. Those not in the office on Feb 30th will be RIF'd.
