Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Is the Executive 'team' ready for mass exodus?

Is anyone on the 'executive' team(FB, JG, etc) prepared for the mass exodus of Bkfld employees that will LEAVE Fiserv when forced to RTO to new MKE office? Are you there Frankie or Johnny? If you know this is happening, then you KNOW this will decimate the products supported there and do you even care? Clients WILL notice and once it happens, neither AI or the newer employees will be able to save them! I'm guessing that you DO know but don't care!
Good Luck!

re: @5fkv+1pMmZyIl, yes, all Brookfield employees will be required to drive into crime infested downtown Milwaukee. I'd bet that 75% or so are now living in Waukesha County, where bkfld center is located, and are DREADING the daily commute to crime infested downtown Milwaukee. Distance from center to center can be calculated easy enough via google maps.

So are Brookfield employees being expected to move to Milwaukee? What is the distance between the two?

I don’t think it’s a secret that Finxact has been a complete disaster thus far. And if that’s their only initiative they are in big trouble.

It doesn’t really matter if you leave of your own volition or Frankie Boi lays you off.
What does matter is that you find yourself in a better place. For richer or poorer, just in a better place where you can be with your family and friends.
Remote or RTO elsewhere, you’re better off.
Good luck to all. I left over 2 years back when it was starting and am still appreciated by my new employer and I still appreciate them. I’m remote and with my family. My parents are aging so I’m welcome of the time I can spend with them.
My new employer recognizes I can work wherever the internet does and I don’t abuse the trust.
In return I get to spend time with family.
I hope you all get to that point this holiday season as well.
Best wishes!!

Oh there will be a mass exodus alright, most of my colleagues already have “looking for work” on their LinkedIn profiles. Folks things are going to get a whole lot worse before or if they ever get better. Buckle up clients and remaining associates!

Of course they want people to quit! As a part of their agreement for the grant money they need to hire an additional 250 jobs over 5 years. Of course they want you to quit, that way they can replace employees at a lower wage and still make their quota for the grant money.

They still haven't moved into the new Milwaukee offices?

Similar story. Started with a new company and it's shocking what is feels like to be somewhere that they actually care about employees and are transparent in their decisions.

All I knew was Fiserv. Had worked there since college. It was never "great" but it wasn't terrible like it is now. Watching the last three years unfold has been painful.

I left about 4 months ago and while it was hard to leave some really good coworkers, I cant believe how different work life is in corp America outside of Fisev. The culture at my new employer is a 180° difference. And I am at a Fortune 200 with 75K+ associates so comparable to Fiserv's size. The difference is the communication, transparency and overall respect from exec leadership for all of the employees. I no longer fear for my job from layoffs and I have a hybrid work schedule with loads of flexibility along with a very manageable workload. It is very sad to see what Fiserv became as a result of poor exec leadership but do know the grass can be much greener outside of Fiserv.

Don’t be so sure there will be an exodus, Buddy Boy. Let’s check back in 6 months and see if it happens. I don’t think it will.

Re: @vhm+1pMmZyIl, and THAT is why I will be 'quiet quitting' and they'll never know because my stupid boss is in another state and has no clue about the product I support! Have barely ever even TALKED to my boss! FB will not get over on me!

The only Banking related product in the future of Fiserv is Finxact. No exceptions.

The product you work on is going away. Frank doesn't care how much money it makes, he doesn't care how hard you worked on it, it is going away.

Now that you know that he wants you gone, these actions start to make sense.

You have been working on "Flood The Zone" recently. "Flood the Zone" isn't to make the product better. It is to make the product run as long as possible with the smallest number of employees. They want the product to continue with only the minimum amount of workers. This will allow them to continue to collect revenue from the customers but not pay expenses in worker salaries. This is not sustainable. But they don't need it to be. Finxact is the only bank related go forward product. All other products will be sold, milked to death, or milked and then sold.

You are under the assumption that they care. You are also under the assumption they really want all these folks to stay.

You do realize that they could care less about locations other than NY/NJ? They exist only because they existed before he got there. If he were to build a company from scratch there’d be no offices elsewhere.
