Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Clients and RTO

I am so confused. Our clients are the reason we need RTO and they want us in the office 4 or 5 days a week, however, most of our clients offer flexible work arrangements. Either hybrid 2 or 3 days week or full remote. Do our clients only support flexible work arrangements for their employees?

Due to RTO policies the entire SF site and staff were inoperable for half day with no internet, or phones. If people were dispersed and WFH that would not have happened. Oh well.

Most of my clients are remote or at least hybrid and were very offended by FBs rant at Forum about kids needing to see their parents RTO to show a good work ethic. They thought it was very rude, condescending and a very boomer mentality.

Frank is the kind of guy that always thinks he the smartest person in the room. In his mind, he can tell us that clients want us in offices and he can tell clients that we demanded to come back. Problem is, we spend our days supporting and talking to clients. So we both know better. Frank thinks he is clever and that he is "winning". He doesn't want to believe that we (employees and clients) all see him for the simple-minded dope that he is.

Some rather large clients have told me they don’t care where we are located, just do the work. This is 100% about tax breaks.

FB compares us to McDonalds which is one of our major merchant clients. That’s how he comes up with this BS

Our clients do not care if we are in office or not, that’s never been true. Some may have said something, majority only care about results. Nor do they care where our offices are or who’s in what part of the country, it’s all just a distraction.

He told our clients the employees demanded to work in offices.

As it turns out liars lie. What else has he been lying about?

Agree'd there's a really good mini documentry on RTO stuff. It's mostly just an excuse to cut staff without an actual layoff. Force people back an harass them to the point they just quit is the Fiserv way. %90 of the jobs have no need to be in an office. Remote staff is easily monitored by their managers. It's pretty obvious to any manager if stuff in their dept isn't getting done so it's not a matter of monitoring people to be more productive in the office or anything like that. It's literally boomer generation management power trip and an easy way to reduce staff without ending up in the news for layoffs.

Clients don't give 2 $hits about staff in the office or not, they just want their problems solved and to be supported. Has zero to do with office. That's just Rat boy and his goons spreading lies.

RTO is just layoff in disguise. Other companies are using it to slash the counts on payroll. Remote workers usually don't want to move to the office spaces or move their entire life because of current corporate decision.
