Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Finally

After almost 15 years, I am finally free. Put my notice in and turned everything in just in time for the holidays. You will never catch me saying one good thing about this company, some of the people, or encourage anyone to be employed here.
I’ve made multiple attempts over the years to move up past the SR role and never got them. Instead, they’ve been given to people with a fraction of my time hard work and time invested. Heck, I’ve seen people climb multiple positions in a matter of a few years. The most recent was just before April when Mission one began when an RMS position opened. I dressed up for the interviewed with BC over teams and she comes on wearing a hooded sweatshirt. Throughout the interview all she did was play with her hair and yawned a few times as if I was holding her up or just wasting her time.
Every time I’d get passed up for a position they’d say “don’t let it get you. Keep going”. Well, even after winning the circle of champions, that was not impressive enough to get that role. Never did get any direct feedback from her from that interview. But somehow she even manages to get promoted from an LS to RDR while posting TikTok videos on the job while others like myself work hard to achieve better. Not to mention a DM that somehow squeaks by the restructure and gets an ASM position with a “F ‘em” mentality and wouldn’t be caught dead helping throw orders.
The other thing that helped me make my decision is the pay. For 15 years into a company and my salary had yet to even break 50/yr was a joke. Mission one had helped add fuel to that fire with being given 28 accounts, a 600k+ objective, manage order writers, all the added responsibility three times more than what I had prior for the same pay??? You’d be stupid for that to make any sense. And for the COC trip to NY, it was hard to pretend that I even enjoyed it after how the company has treated me over the years. But anyway I could go on and on, it’s not going to change anything. It’s still politics and kissing a.. that help those stand out. I’m done and could not be happier to leave this dump

Amen! Wish I hadn’t given them as much time as I did! When we parted ways, I could not believe I didn’t leave sooner!

I was top performer in sales rep role for over 20 years. Same story here. Never gave me a chance to move up and lost money to inflation year after year from 1% pay increases even though I was far from top pay. They definitely aren't interested in white males but I wouldn't recommend a minority work there either as even if you do get a higher position you will still get treated like garbage. They promote young, non performing minorities that will work dirt cheap in higher positions. After years of doing this there is very little talent left in management and it is a sh-t hole to work in. I have been gone for a few years and just regret not leaving a lot sooner.

Mondelez has been designated as a White Male Hate Group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

I’m finally free as well! Sh-t pay as a territory manager (SR). Complete sh-t show of a company. Mission one biggest joke ever, Mo--n merchandisers, constantly cleaning up after this so called “team”… DM adding to our already full schedule on a daily basis, worthless RMS. I can go on. Do yourself a favor and find something better.

What is a W.M.A.?

Yep same experiences over 10 years. White male syndrome is not promotable. No matter the performance. All the diversity hires and females straight to the top, 6 months in a role. What a joke. They load up the backrooms and get promoted before it catches up to them.

It’s funny, the new they do promote usually leave! Only the losers they promote stick around. I left and work for another CPG company in retail and what a different world! We get so many resumes from Mondelez employees looking to get out, so many!
You will be so much happier not dealing with the BS!
Happy Thanksgiving and congrats

I'm guessing you are a W.M.A. and that's why you never got promoted in this company. They couldn't wait for you to quit.

Congratulations! I had exactly 15 years in myself before losing my job April 1. your experience sounds like I could have written it myself.
I took a 6 month vacation courtesy of the severance and now that I’m actually looking, I’ve gotten several interviews for jobs all paying better than I was making after 15 years.
Worst possible company I could have ever wasted 15 years of my prime at. I’m so relieved to be done with such a woke, pathetic company.
I just wish I would have had the sense to get out earlier. Let them have all their diversity hires while I take my old fashioned work ethic somewhere else

Unfortunately this company doesn't promote good reps . Good reps bring in the numbers so they want you to stay in that position

🙌🙌 time to whoop it up! You are spot on to my experience, to a tee! Not just mine but so many others! It’s a joke!
You will really want to kick yourself when you start to feel good again and ask your why it took so long to get out!
Post on Glassdoor, people do use this as a resource as to what it looks like to work places. Best we can do is to warn others…stay away! Your experience is like so many others! Congrats!
