Wells Fargo is the last place we should be hiring executives from. I don't know much about our future chief wholesale banking officer but it's enough to know she is coming from one of the most corrupt and worst managed banks. There were really no internal candidates for this role?

Suntrust was notorious over the years for hiring from the big banks. It was and now as SunTruist is littered with other BOA in particular hires. Two of which were recently shown the door (good riddance). The MUFG hire and her bringing several of her people with her to finish sending audit down the drain is one of the latest. The recent WF hire has her roots in the old Wachovia where she started. Says something about her that she managed to survive through all the turmoil of their merger with FU and then this WF disaster. We should reserve judgment on her for now at least.

We already have their rejects. Look at the CIO’s bio. This whole bank’s leadership is made up of people the bad banks didn’t want.
They’ve long since chased away anyone internal who could handle the job plus they’re not ex-investment bankers so that’s a no go from the start.
The WF exec is based in DC. Given how much she is being paid, and the commitment to being in the office she should likely be forced to move to Charlotte, but of wont and will fly the private jet like the others.

Where else do you expect Truist to hire from in Charlotte? Wells Fargo is probably the only bank with a poor enough culture for employees to join Truist
