Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Is there no one who can coach our CEO to speak with some semblance of humility and consideration during these times??

He actually said this (link below) how can he not know how tone-deaf this is!?!
****
“When we sit around as a management team, we feel great about the progress and there’s no clearer way to see that than in the headcount numbers, which ultimately drive the expense of the company,” Scharf said.
****
Management sitting around smiling while people with many years of experience are packing their things and going into the holidays with no jobs.

Because they are unaware of what is really happening on the inside. I agree that the company has bloat, the problem is that Hudson Yards is making zero effort to target downsizing so we keep the best people. They are also eliminating entire businesses based not on anything relevant to company performance or serving customers, but based on the personal preferences of an inept CEO.

Intentionally tormenting employees has consequences.

At least Henry Ford understood the concept of his employees being his customers as well. If no one is working and all jobs are offshore, no need for a bank here in the US.

Exactly. Nothing drives attrition like miserable people, so tormenting the employees is Job 1 in the minds of these worthless POS execs.

The only sensible choice to make a dent in the balance of power is to unionize.

It's obvious he doesn't care about the bank. Only shuffling a few things around to justify his exorbitant yearly million $ paycheck.

Coming from someone that didn't even earn any of their jobs but got them through connections.

Dinosaur. No EQ. Living in the last century. Why can't the bank get more modern leadership?
