Several years of constant cuts that cost us a lot of talent have left behind only the worst of the worst when it comes to management. The company has worked really hard to get rid of anybody capable even though those were the people who were keeping this place functioning. What's left is destroying this place.

I’ve been with for for over 20 years, and all of my managers have been fantastic with the exception of maybe one. The managers that I interact with today are working really hard to keep things afloat, and I don’t think it’s so much them being bad managers has them having too much on their plate. I’ve known of managers that have had 40 or 50 direct reports within the last year or two, Thankfully, it looks like that starting to level out to the proper amount again. Most managers are underwater and have to try to work evenings and/or weekends to stay somewhat caught up.
"Most if all the good managers have left Fiserv for better opportunities"
Ding ding ding. Tell him what's he's won Bob!
My manager was awesome. Had been with the company 30+ years. Got tired of constantly being told he couldn't reward his staff when it was more than earned. Left for a better opportunity. Many followed suit and left after he did.
Fiserv with their abysmal Executive leadership has run off many good managers and subsequently their reports because they are constantly focused on cuts instead of growth, and punishment over reward, And there is no end in sight to this. It's dismantling a company via buffoonery.
I'm rated "Exceeds God".
What merit increase?
What bonus?
Fiserv does not pay.
To @1qtb+1p9VW2lu, You’re talking out of your a$$. Let me guess?,… you’re yearly rating was consistently “Does Not Meet Expectations”. Therefore ineligible for a merit increase or even a bonus, you bumbling id10t !
Most of the managers I’ve dealt with are d-mb and only care about themselves. All the goods one left and the ones that stayed, su-k. Most got promoted because so many people left and now the idiocy level moved up a level or two.
Most managers are 60yrs old and waiting to retire. Their knowledge is limited to products from 1982.
Most if all the good managers have left Fiserv for better opportunities
Most good managers were making good money which looks great to draw a line through on a spreedsheet.
I left a month ago. My manager was the reason I didn't leave earlier. Not all of the managers su-k, but upper management is doing their damndest to run off any and all talent...
The "forced attrition" strategy is always a fool's errand. What ultimately happens is that anybody worth a damn leaves. The ones that remain are too lazy to dive into a search and get out.
