Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

HPE has nothing to offer

Way back when, you could build a career at a tech company. HPE was a leader in the industry. They incubated top engineers who then created market leading products.

Now HPE chases the market. It waits to see which startups gain traction and then snaps them up. They don’t have long term talent because they either lay the off or the talent leaves for greener pastures since HPE is not a leader.

HPE is a shadow of what it once was. I don’t know if there is a way back.

HPE was never innovative, HP was and that was in the 80's and early 90's. I remember seeing people with advanced degrees taking Administrative Assistant jobs just to get their foot in the door.

Right on all counts with exception of the few talented people at HPE leaving for greener pastures. They don't leave for greener pastures, they leave in order to receive just compensation.
