RTO is a HOAX!!!!!
Once the RTO is finalized then comes in a new VP that is located in a different hub office as his predecessors team. Uses this move as a way to thin the herd again. Rinse and repeat as needed.
once they realize they are ki-ling productivity a 2 day is more realistic
If only there were a company that could provide high speed internet and mobility connectivity to allow us to use MS Teams at home… if only. Well, I guess until then we’ll go into the office to be pounced on by the boomers who love to stand by my desk and talk about how much work they get done (although I never see them at their desk).
Looking forward to seeing everyone and office gossip. Guess I will need to shut down my side gig of building lake homes!
“Nobody is co-located and really can’t be.”

Too bad it is too late. These investment firms driving these decisions are about to eat it
“They are working on this problem. The executives feel a team should be in the same city so it sounds like your the lucky one that’s in the hub city”
Yes I’m in a hub, the others are in hubs. But unless we all move to the same location and run things differently, then not going to happen. Heck my boss and VP are all in different locations. Nobody is co-located and really can’t be.
“Yep 5 days in the office and terminations for failure to comply are just around the corner along with fusion power, flying cars, and extra planetary colonization.”
Yea no. 5 day will happen sooner than fusion power. Sorry
“ My team cannot be co-located because we are a small regional Team”

Yep 5 days in the office and terminations for failure to comply are just around the corner along with fusion power, flying cars, and extra planetary colonization.
There is a reason some teams are 5x per week and other teams were TW long before covid. If your team is co-located and does a lot of collaboration and brainstorming sure 5x makes sense. If your team and others you deal with are scattered across the country or world and you don’t need to meet F2F then TW makes sense. I am the latter, others around me are the former. It makes 0 sense for me to drive in and take up a limited seat here at the office, be on teams calls all day and speak with no one in this office. It is just a waste of time. My team cannot be co-located because we are a small regional team. Folks I speak or work with daily are field based. We would never have a reason to be together in a conference room.
Can they do that?
Consider yourself lucky that you aren’t already expected to be in the office 5 days. Many orgs including mine have already shifted to that expectation.
They’ll still sc--w up tracking that
