Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Info Security and offshoring risk

Given the replacements of US staff by Offshore is particularly problematic for the Enterprise level Info Sec risk that needs to be managed.

Not sure whose idea it was, but there is reason to have ALL Info Security be located in the US.

Until something big hits, and we are found out, I am not sure our Management will get it.

Very poor decisions by the micromanaging Boss from Visa…who has brought on board others like him.

Very appropriate response…thanks…

To the anonymous poster mocking the original post: you should know that making money and wisdom can often be at odds (also known as greed). The company, as many corporations these days, are run to maximize short term profits. If the get in trouble they are too big to fail. So yes the leaders in charge are greedy id--ts.

According to Axios- “Nations with the highest number of people living in modern slavery included India, China, North Korea, Pakistan, Russia, Indonesia, Nigeria, Turkey, Bangladesh, and the United States. Six of those countries are in the G20.” It doesn’t seem like a good idea to outsource info sec to countries near the top of that list.

Thank goodness we have nobodies on an anonymous Internet forum thinking about this stuff and keeping a watch. We would be in serious trouble without your wisdom OP

We have already discussed this a couple of months ago. Yes, it was Schart's idea.
