I feel sick about the layoffs, but does anyone know if there any actual branches closing??
And I heard about the Jan. 2024 terms too; my advice is to start looking now if you still work there - or - wait and see b/c if you stick it out, you at least get a payout, and you have a better chance of finding a job in Jan/Feb than you would in Nov/Dec anyway.
Take their money and run - at least the folks who are still there know its coming again soon.
i.e. - Is your department not hiring? Is everyone being strange, but you can't put a finger on why? Are you all of a sudden being asked to work on 'clean up projects' or all of a sudden being asked to quickly finish a b.s. project or task that is a big pain your boss would not want to get stuck doing? If you are still there and see or feel any of that, then it probably means some folks in your group are next in a few months, unfortunately.
- Just do the bare minimum over the next months, until you find another job - life is too short, and the worst bank (PNC) does not deserve you to give 100% going forward.
**And PNC can creep on my IP address all they want - good luck - (I love the scare tactics on here from their desperate EEs trying to talk people into not sharing).
I am about to close my account anyway and go to Citizens; they are way better.
