Pulse Survey Participation is more important than the scores. BOYCOT IT!

Coming from the top down

Pulse Survey Participation this quarter is more important than the overall scores

It's time to take advantage of this 'participation is voluntary' and NOT take it!

30 yr vet here. Take the Pulse. Downvote all the appropriate metrics but your supervisors direct management if he/she doesnt deserve it. Any verbatim responses, type a response about something that truly impacts your work instead of the question asked. Paste it in, edit so it fits the character maximum. They started this nonsense to be able to say they do it. Make them read the things that need changing bc your up stack leaders are saying that the "sh!t = fertilizer and promotes growth"

“ There’s plenty of other jobs out there for you…”
There are jobs but they barely make over $10 an hour around here. Definately my fault for moving when VZ moved my job and then q bit later decided to RIF the department. A few of us found a job internally but everyone else has been going from temp job to temp job for years.
I’d move but the spouse actually has a job they like so dealing with this terrible environment sometimes is worth it.

The pulse survey is the companies way of trying to divert you from coming to websites like this or going to a union. They don’t seem to care if we unionize, so the answer is to be as disengaged as possible and proactively slow progress towards company objectives.

If you hate it so much… why don’t you go find where the grass is greener? I never understand why people in misery stay where they are unhappy. There’s plenty of other jobs out there for you…

The original poster must be a poor performing people manager who doesn’t want employees to voice the truth. Or why encourage boycott if there’s nothing to hide from their chain of command?

MY GOD! Take the survey and BLAST away! BLAST them, BLAST the company and the leadership. Boycott does nothing, nothing at all. I just blasted away on the survey myself! I can't stand all the politics at work. Work is where I make money to pay my bills... I don't need to hear leftwing or rightwing tosh in the workplace. Verizon needs to focus on selling phones and services and leave the politics at the door! So yes, I blasted them and so should you!

These inept district managers need to be boycott!! It’s always what you haven’t done instead of positive reinforcement to help motivate unmotivated managers…you do realize that you are the sole reason all of your stores are not performing and almost all of your managers are checked out and either are looking for another job or trying to go out on leave. Maybe they should reach out to other DM’s for best practices or maybe they should swap DM for a day

@2kss+1p7g703j My problem has always been that they come after our direct supervisors/managers when the results are bad. I still filled it out honestly and wrote in the comments that my supervisor is not responsible for my poor ratings. But at the end of the day I’m not going to just give all 5s because I want to protect my sup. Fu-k it I just hope this gets me on a RIF list.

The Pulse survey is pointless. Leadership doesn't really want to hear your thoughts. My leadership has proven time and again that they "say" they want your input, but it's all talk.

It's not about making any sort of sense. It's simply about immature rebellion. Leadership wants th survey completed (the reasons are irrelevant). These people just want to say no. The stats say most complete it and most enter all 5s. The reason comments are omitted is because most don't fill them out. The reality is, despite all the tough talk, most of the posters here will fill out the survey all 5s, and never miss the comments section.

This post doesn't make any sense. You'll really show them by not taking their survey! Not. If there is something that you are not happy with/feel needs changed, then include it in the Pulse survey. That's what it's there for. What do you expect to accomplish by not taking the survey?
