Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Layoffs are not happening next week

Let’s put an end to the rioting around Oct 17, because that is not the correct time period for layoffs. Do not go into your weekend worried that Tuesday is your doomsday. You will have longer than that, but not by much.

A layoff is a great opportunity to reinvent and move to greener pastures. Believe in yourself. Your life will improve as you master the moments you cannot control. BUT, you control the outcomes. EVERY TIME, if you choose to do so. It's quite simple if you choose to focus on your skills and represent them honestly to another employer. You'll have more job opp's than you deserve. It's proven, it works, and you need to have your plan in place to move on anytime you work for a large corporation. Get your mental stare in check and power forwatd. God Bless to all.

This person must be a higher up trying to prevent people from “worrying” too much. Earning are out the writing is on the wall. Either 17 or not, it’s going to happen and anyone that fear being impacted will worry this weekend or next until all is set and done.

Monday it will be announced that layoffs will occur in Q4, they will start next week. This aligns with the ending of a pay period and also ends with a term date in 2023 payroll. If any bonus is collected, it’ll be an additional prorated amount but I doubt this is added.

According to Schwab, it doesn’t hold earnings calls - never heard of that before. https://www.aboutschwab.com/investor-relations

For Advisor Services, likely won’t happen until after IMPACT 10/23-10/26.

but if we don't worry about layoffs how will this community survive? We need a constant stream of trolls reminding us the EC and CS take advantage of the poor worker bees, capitalism is the worst, communism/socialism and "our democracy" is the best, that everything su-ks and is hopeless, the future is grim, in fact there is no future. Unless you ask Uncle Sam for handout, aka stimmies, or unionize it is over. We need to unionize and respond to each and every irrelevant BS threads all the time! Who cares if it is the same thread repeated over and over every few days asking about tea leaves and Les Schwab. We need to keep the community alive! It is a travesty to suggest we should not worry on the weekends and should spend time with our families instead. How dare you?

I refuse to spend even one minute to upgrade my skills, volunteer for projects, add some more info to my profile on linked in. God forbid should I talk to recruiters, oh no, we cannot have THAT!

All in all, it is all fkd up, the walls are closing in, it is over, why even try.

yes I am the jet-ski dude.

Hey, it has been 3+ freaking months! How did you improve?

feel free to down-vote accordingly. After all, nothing can be done.
