Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

We mean nothing to CS and management

Not that we don't already know this, but I'm listening to the earnings call, CS really takes pleasure in reducing headcount. No empathy at all. we are just expenses that he is working hard to manage down.

You're not alone my friend. Every single domestic employee is in the crosshairs.

Is there anyway for AI, automation, domestic contractors, or outsource to do your job? If so, you're in trouble. Doesn't matter what LOB or what your location is. They want to get rid of all of us, and the only way anyone survives more than a few more years is if an extremely strong business case has been made to retain you.

All C-Suite executives care about are the financial bottom line of the company and of course their compensations. After all, they have to run the company, the financial going concern is a big deal. In other words, all the rest, like you and me, are just commodities, pawns, puppets, nothing but financial numbers. They can preach all they want, things like DEI, green environment, etc., but everything they say or do has a financial purpose. They may be saying those things just to please the government. Again, all they care about is the financial bottom line. They will do whatever they can to improve those numbers. You and I are nobodies, so don't expect much from the C-Suite executives. We are the only ones who can help ourselves.

Was informed today that my job is on borrowed time. My manager is not happy about it. The timeline they laid out works perfectly for me.

WF will lose, I will win and the rest of my team will suffer. Talk about a competitive advantage.

Big focus on the analyst call on headcount, severance pay, and attrition. Not the topics the employee base wants to see discussed as when the analyst are hammering questions on this, it will only lead to more lost jobs and ,ensures to force us out without severance. Let’s see if they mess with our severance package payout. Definitely can expect big layoffs and expansions in offshoring

Just try to enjoy your weekend and not focus on this line of thinking.

Unions do not stop layoffs. Just look at how many have been laid off from auto plants since their strike began.

CEOs are disproportionately more likely to be sociopaths than the general population, so it probably doesn’t take $29 mil annually to get one of those.

$29 million in compensation annually will buy you a sociopath CEO in today’s economy, I guess? It’s a vampire economy for sure. The top of the pyramid scheme keeps getting richer feeding off of the rest of us. This is why labor unions are important.🤷🏻
