Thread regarding PNC layoffs

I still can't relax

Am I the only one who's still stressed out over layoffs? I know it's over but my mind seems to refuse to accept that. It could be because I know it's only a matter of time before the next round or I'm just burnt out in general, but I just can't seem to let it go.

It took two days of absolute disbelief, but finally turning the page. They have used up enough of my mind cycles. Initially, I was upset of getting displaced, especially due to my project (was unbelievable). After I found out it was super secret C-Level exercise I still fealt like sh-t, but understood it's just a shuffling numbers game for this upcoming (possible 2024 recession). They handled it very badly in terms of this layoff. I will never work for this company or suggest in the future. PNC Cares NOT!!!!!!!!! Fasad

I feel the exact same way. Eggshells. I hate it. Don’t know who to trust. Heard round 2 is coming in January.

I definitely feel stressed and like there’s a weight on my chest. It feels like there’s more layoffs right around the corner and I won’t be so lucky next time. The way they handled this was completely unacceptable and now everyone is on edge and spiteful. Additionally, I now have so much more added to my plate with no more pay, of course.

Biden is a bumbling id--t. Trump is a stooge.

What does this all mean? We are fu---d is what it means.

Joe Biden had a meeting with the Cabinet today.

He also spoke to the bookcase and argued with the desk.

I love hearing the vapid, cliche & shallow responses from the cult.

You can thank Bidenomics for the layoffs. It's only going to get worse. Fed is already saying they are going to do another rate hike.

This is what happens when you let a walking corpse run your country.

versus a 80+ puppet that can’t think, talk or walk. Who’s making the decisions for him on immigration, inflation, crime and over spending?

It's usually that way after large cuts in the workplace. Most employees will be spending the next week or so thinking a lot about what comes next. Having a little anxiety is normal. It will slowly fade.

Focus on the things you can control. Make sure resume is updated and ready. Start looking at potential job opportunities elsewhere. Look at what's out there in the job market. Do this mainly because once you realize there are jobs available, this will help some of the anxiety and worry about getting a tap on the shoulder.
