Seems I am not getting my retirement gift and I was not offered money for a party. I really can’t understand why I worked at T so long as they clearly hate their employees. I am at a new employer and I cannot believe how valued I feel as well as receiving a bump in pay before raises and an excellent review from my boss. I feel sorry for everyone stuck in T He-l.

Good thing AT&T let you come here to complain.
I have been burned for all three anniversary lunches so far (5,10,15). No biggie, I have been to chillis and black angus before, lol. I am sure not expecting a nice dinner. He-l, I expect they will find a way to excuse me before I get to retire! I can take.myself out and have a much better celebration anyway.
There is exit and retirement guides on HRonestop, just make sure they are for your position, management vs. bargained. You can also contact HR for any other details, you need to turn in all company keys, ID badge, COU devices and would definitely get proof that you did. Also need to contact Fidelity for your 401k and any other retirement accounts.
I was asked after leaving a group where all those items were because the manager said he couldn’t find. I had an email and took pictures of where I left them in a locked cabinet, per his instructions where to leave them. Saved me.
I never even had an exit interview. I was laid off last Friday since I did not move to Dallas. I had been moved to a new manager who ended up leaving to a new company a few months earlier and I was never assigned to anyone. I hope the exit interview was not required. I did have enough time to retire.
Wow who knew Snow Flakes have been embedded here for so long! Grow up.
Everyone that retired from my group it was your coworkers that chipped in and bought the plaque. T didn’t pay for that. Idk maybe if you weren’t a hole they would have done something for you.
Regarding the retirement dinner, it’s the employees responsibility to seek out their former manager on those arrangements.
During the exit interview, on the paperwork provided, there is a number included for the company that provides the gifts. It is the employees responsible to call that company to see if they are eligible and order their gift.
If you were never given your exit interview paperwork, I would contact your former manager. The paperwork should have been provided as part of your exit interview process.
insecurity posts lmao
Hope this post was meant as a joke. I’d hate to think any adult really gives a damn about some cheap gift and dinner from the company. I recommend making friends and finding a life outside of work.
Wow when I took the VMO I got a Waterford Crystal Lamp as a gift, a plaque, and a VERY nice dinner for four as my party. I planned it all before I left with my boss.
You've been gone long enough to have a review from your new boss? Go away
Bye Debbie
Don't worry about the gift...it comes with a framed "congratulations on your retirement" from John....poor quality, an absolute insult...thank you for your contributions to AT&T ---you're Fired! Absolutely tone deaf.
If you were entitled to a retirement party, then you just do it. I wasn’t ‘offered’ money for my 25 year service anniv. I just read the policy and then put it on my p card. Did the same corny 20th.
I don’t care about their gift and/ or their dinner. Not interested.
Waah
Did you proactively ask about money for the dinner? Your post indicates you expected others to take care of this for you, What reason were you given for the retirement gift being denied? Go pick up a quality lighter at 7-11. It will have more value than the cheap gifts T offers from China.
Can they do that?
Why do you feel the need to come back and spend time with us?
