Agree with the last point. The amount of misinformation here is over the top.
HP departure is calculated, intentional and done with FB blessing. FB wouldn’t let him leave for a Clover competitor - there are executive non-compete clauses in their contracts. HP will be back in a few years when FB acquires Verifone.
FB is looking to increase Clover market share and tech capability. Let HP cut costs at Verifone and position it to be acquired in a few years.
He really doesn’t care about anyone’s opinions of him. Looking out for the numero uno a-hole. Happy as a clam.
