SunTrust presented to Kelly and BB&T Execs a vision of their technology stack and strategy that seemed light years ahead of conservative, stodgy BB&T. It was all an elaborate and deliberate lie of course, SunTrust was behind BB&T in many ways, and what they did have was held together with staples and shoestrings. But by the time that became obvious, the merger was in flight, and the grifters like Case, Bryce & Ken were already in charge.
