How is your store doing after fall rush? Did campus relations get any better or have they gotten worse? I heard sales are up!

Not all stores sales are up... some are down 15 to 18%. But follett will continue to lie thru their prettily capped teeth saying "everything is just fine" while some "managers" go around wearing rose colored glasses and barfing the same information to their employees.
The biggest challenge by far was stores not having enough trained knowledgeable staff. And everyone being spread too thin and overworked. I do think there will be a big turnover before Spring.
But most regions are up in sales, we're opening stores, so reports of demise are silly.
B&N couldn't get books being forced to prepay for everything and their store reviews are tanking. If anything Follett will be picking up B&N stores.
BNED stock price is at a 52 week low. BNED has their own issues. They can't promise anything different
COMPLETE INSANITY.....nobody to pull orders, stock everywhere, students, faculty, administration super pi---d. Heard that the powers that be at the University is going to cut ties with follett. Looks like Barnes and Noble will be taking over alot of bookstores.
Seriously? It's easy to promise something you have no intention of following through with. They will change the bonus plan right before payout.
According to a recent conference call that was relayed to us, the stores are way behind with SODA orders.
The short sighted approach of cutting experienced staff is getting its just desserts.
It didn't work before and it won't work now and no promise of "all Follett staff can earn bonus" is going to help... can't get a bonus if you don't make the numbers.
Glad I didn’t stay.
Way down so far! Still not caught up here. Back orders, incorrect or missing adoptions. Not enough trained staff. Classes started weeks ago. Many orders cancelled because we just couldn’t fill them quickly enough. I’m sad and embarrassed and angry.
