Was included in that RIF. 1 week per year was the package, they also included pay for the remainder of the month of September.
This is called in the finance industry 'shrink-creative'
Anyway of knowing if there was severance for those affected that were there 20+ years from the old BFDS and if the entire tenure was honored.
Doesn't surprise me one bit. Guarantee none of the layoffs occurred in India. Paying them pennies on the dollar. We've seen so many mistakes from India that our clients are asking what's going on. Of course we're told by our manager to not to say anything. At least cell phones are not recorded.
Hmmm so is it coincidental that Billy Bob canceled the Town Hall meeting right after they started laying people off? I think not. I think that he needs to down a few more drinks before he can come up with a good lie to pass on to the remaining employees. As usual, they have once again laid off all of the wrong people. They have all that dead weight at the executive level that remain untouched. It's always the worker bees that get let go. This just motives the rest of us to start a serious job search because this toxic environment isn't going to get any better. All the new people that they've hired clearly didn't research the company well before they accepted job offers. They'll soon learn that mangers expect 100% productivity while giving the new hires 1% training. Rumors continue to circulate that more people will be laid off this month and next.
Definitely impacted Brokerage Solutions. Always curious as to who gets selected. Doesn’t seem to performance driven, though not that I’ve actually had a performance or goal review done over the last two years. Just a score I had to find for myself in Workday. It was always to difficult to understand what got rewarded vs admonished.
I will miss the comedic all-hands town halls by executives. Those were always more entertainment than informative or motivational.
Some great folks at SS&C/DST, unfortunately none of them are in leadership positions.
SSC is 1 week per year while DST is 2 weeks per year. other people said some sort of medical coverage payout. might be a max on ssc payout weeks.

It’s not complete yet. Word is other business units will be impacted. Whether it’s by week’s end or end of month.
Chorus/Blue Prism impacted. Rumor is it was approximately 700 people across all SS&C globally.

RIF = Reduction In Force.... as in "reduce the workforce"
Lucky S-B'S who were cut today are the envy of the company.
