Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Move or else

John Gibbons to tell remote staff, move or else. John is the new dude who ran EMEA to the ground is back home in the US and was given the bank division to cohead with another clueless FD guy!

Net net, he is clueless, DNA teams are all over the country and they are not going to move.

He is calling this sh---y meeting - Elevating Client Experience!

News flash for you, elevating client experience comes with 10k associates you lost, not the new associates who are clueless and fed up!!!

I have family who lives in the township next to BH. The entire northeast is expensive with NJ at the top of the list. $15-$20k property tax is not unheard. What Fiserv pays will not even cover cost of living.

Unlike TX and FL, you also get slapped with State Income Tax.

Todays call was nothing but fluff in the beginning, “Here let me play some music to pump everyone up”. To the main message that everyone in an office is doing such a great job and everyone should want to join them. When it came time to discuss those that are remote, no praise at all, just the message that they need to move to a new location. I would never uproot my entire life for this company, not after what they have done over the years. Their message, this “town hall” that was nothing but a recorded message, is falling on deaf ears. The employees are fed up and the clients are fed up. As someone that has put in blood, sweat and tears for over a decade, I’m sad that this is what it has come to.

But if you move they will adjust your salary so you make the exact same amount of net pay and you do now.

What a deal!

The Gibbon tried to sell FTO in a COE and that he had move several times. I bet the conversation was not move or else. Same for Whitley, how many of those 10 infamus moves were forced?

Hope someone records the Sioux Falls meeting. If only to listen to in the future and point out the lies. Many decisions will need to be made by employees. Each person has their own scenario. Inform yourself as much as possible to make your own decision. No one should judge what may work best for you. Best of luck!

Sioux Falls has a 9:00 AM meeting invite and a second 1:00 PM meeting invite on Tuesday. The 9:00 meeting is in-person only.

Are you referencing the 1pm CST call today called F! Group Fintech Associates Town Hall or are you getting a different meeting invite? I am also remote but this is the only call I have received so far.

If you think they are going to offer you a nice package to make this move, think again. SF folks got ZERO adjustment to relocate. Only thing Frankserv offered was to pick up a bit of the moving expense, with strings attached of course, in the form of staying X amount of time of paying back that money.

I can't imagine why any person that has an ounce of self-worth would degrade themselves and take one of these "offers". Just get out! The sooner the better. Don't hang around waiting for severance either, do it on your own terms. No need to wait for a handful of weeks of pay to be fired, especially not knowing how long it might take to find another role. Start the process now.

John Gibbons: if you want to be successful, reopen the Lake Mary office or look for other assets in orlando, FL.

Gibbons is quiet a li---r, but with this move, he will have lots of sh-t on his face. Customers will stay away. I See de conversions every day, mo--n Frank wants to blame it on remote folks.

Ya, no....not moving the fam across the country in the midst of turmoil for what they would pay. Generally a relocation is a positive/upgrading type experience with most companies. This is just crazy..

Are they actually making an announcement in this meeting?

Yeah, calling the meeting that under the guise of doing something "excellent" is about as Fiserv as Fiserv gets. Gibbons (aptly named) is just a quintessential yes man and boot li---r. I guess the money helps him sleep at night. What a fine upstanding guy.

I was doing some research and come to find out NJ is very expensive to live in. I was looking at some homes near the BH office and they are way over priced for old homes and the property tax is like 15k-20k a year. It’s on Zillow so not sure if that’s true but I was utterly shocked seeing the cost

Indeed, it is no longer about RTO. It is about disturbing families and moving them to other states.horrible move! No one will move to New Jersey or Nebraska.
