Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

So what changes will happen with EL?

Smart money says Weaver will “Retire” and be replaced by Jenna Kelly. Anyone else going to go?

Yes Weaver may be the last real banker left but you really think Bill cares? He has been a part of many bad decisions related to community banking. Cantey Alexander has been an institution in the triad for 30 years. You think he couldn’t have run NC East? Possible that he has had enough of this nonsense and said I’ll go. Likely he was told he would move to MP and said I don’t think so. Way too early to see how community banking shakes out but my gut tells me it will not be good. Losing deals and long time big money customers left and right.

Weaver isn’t retiring common. Let’s not forget one of the main things candidly stated at time of MOE announcement was going forward with the HBBT commercial banking model. The RPs remaining are pretty much split leaning in favor of HBBT post layoffs and reorganization.

Bill Rogers will retire and the horrible POS Joe Thompson will take his place. Every single thing in Wealth that that man has touched and implemented has been a complete train wreck. Every single thing. His reputation is as a tyrant. We can’t understand why Thompson hasn’t been kicked out the door. I think he’s there to sit and wait. Big Advisors have already left. I predict more are going which is why managers are pushing referrals down our throats. That makes clients very sticky to Truist.

What changes will EL make? None, they are not the problem.

It really must gall Bill and all his Suntrust leaders that Truist is most often referred to as “an insurance provider” in most articles about the bank. Perhaps the leaders of this area should be running the bank. What say you BOD?

So is Case going to take the fall for all the poor systems decisions made by this organization? The fintech purchases that have obviously brought zero value? He has reaped a lot of publicity for a lot of things that he alone could not have decided. Meyer is a flunky who can dazzle people with BS.

Case may not have a choice. Meyer appears untouchable.

Case nor Meyer going anywhere. They have to sweet s gig going here. Meyer would leave for a CIO job elsewhere but that would be the only reason.
