Ymmv but my abusive manager at WF was officially "displaced" earlier this year after SEVERAL HR INVESTIGATIONS. So it took multiple complaints from multiple people but she was eventually fired. Of course the other managers or execs never addressed why she was quietly let go. She also ended up having at least one lawsuit opened against WF after she fired someone on pregnancy leave, which probably had more to do with her getting fired than any of the multiple HR investigations.

Just laugh in their face and ignore them. I’ve never had an abusive one up but others managers have attempted to invoke their will and say what they like. Always back fires on them. I enjoy it.
Put them in their place verbally (without going so far to get you fired). Give them a taste of their own medicine basically.
When abusive managers affect your ability to earn a living, it's time to go. That's why this place doesn't hold onto the good employees.

According to the recent media reviews, Wells Fargo has been selected as the worst bank in the United States. The corrupt leadership has something to do with it.
If it happens publicly, ask them to repeat themselves so they can see how d-mb it sounds.
Then push back in front of everyone else saying you will not put up with this behavior.
Most bullies back right down when they are confronted.
Compliance training is NOT your friend. It is designed to protect the company, not to protect you.
The whole thing ties back to taking your training. Someone stated it below, that your friend is compliance training. Knowing that you are complying with laws and regs is huuuuge.
My manager is actually great, only issue is he has a small bit of an ego over control. But other than that he's great and I feel pretty lucky. Sometimes I imagine having a terrible manager who's not a good person and not skilled, and it makes me feel grateful even though I'm bored as heck most days.
Abuse them back.
They're not used to that, and don't know how to deal with it, so they'll leave you alone and find someone else to rag on until that manager is eventually fired.
Go to another job is an option, but there is a probability that I would need to move to another city.... it will be expansive.
I learned that open Jobs have hundreds of applicants, and I am thinking none of them has a job. At least I have a job today. Government always says labor shortage, I just don't see it here.
Find out where they live and have some fun.
Sabotaging everything is an option.
Get another job and when they counter because of course now they have the money for that promotion they’ve been dangling just start laughing like I did. Also leave immediately. F two weeks
Apply for another job or leave. Bad managers seem to last a really long time here.
He forced me to train H1B for China. Steal my results and knowledge.
Nothing I could do about being replaced, but complaining here on layoff.com.
Wait them out. The truly horrible managers will brown nose their way to a promotion and be out out your reporting chain.
Keep taking your compliance learning courses and you’ll be fine.
100% of the abuse I have suffered here at WF has come from the OC and up. Middle management in my area is great, zero complaints. F Hudson Yards.
easy, you find a other job. If you aren't happy with your situation then do something about it
Do not call HR or even Ethics Line, they will not help you. They are there only to protect the bank from complaining employees. The management here is very corrupt, and they do not care about you at all. There is not much you can do other than looking for a new job. Life is short, take care of yourself before you develop PTSD.
Call HR Advisors.... they will help.... NOT!
