Layoffs happened Aug 30. Bleeding continues
There're more people than usual in my building. My manager also scheduled a group meeting, which is very unusual. Hopefully I'm just being paranoid. Well, in any case, good luck all.
Congrats on your promo! Enjoy the new responsibility of people management on top of your day to day responsibilities of a principal with the same pay. Titles honestly don't mean anything at WD. I've seen supervisors making North of 190k, because HR didn't want the new people coming in to hurt the existing seniors feelings...
isn’t this the Cisco way? many small layoffs
Tomorrow 8/30

Which BU and location?
Thanks to the managers for leaving. I just got news that I am turning into a Senior manager from a Principal Engineer.
A bunch of supervisors and managers turned in their badges today. Curious who's going to be left at the helm... Maybe they are attempting a symbolic repeat of the titanic. The company obviously doesn't value the people generating their revenue and creating their product... lol
I've heard 9/15
those posting dates likely guessing, but historically pattern is Oct/Nov and March/Apr
My manager said he is not aware of layoffs
11/15
Probably not. The market is improving. Many will leave voluntarily by November.
This week. Get ready
That's probably true... these a--holes always have layoffs right before xmas.
Boss: "Merry Christmas & Happy New Years, btw you have no job any more. Good luck!"
yes that's true
Which region? Cuz apparently there www one last week that impacted Ops team in APAC
