Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Laid off and find new job before 10/21

Do we need to let CVS know we landed a new job if we do so before 10/21? All equipment being returned on the 31st and Login IDs terminated. Makes no sense at all. People who are laid of deserve all compensation. Why are we being punished for finding new jobs outside of CVS?

I was in a similar situation a few years ago. I found a job before and arranged to get paid as a contractor up until my last day of employment from my former company, with my start date as a full-time employee right after my termination date so there was no overlap.

Be careful. If you do decide to get a job and start before 10/21, if they find out, they can consider that a voluntary termination and you forfeit your severance.
