Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Powerpoints and short term targets

Never looking ahead or saying then what? I was never a yes man but kept my head down, laid low, had side action going but ATT was the foundation with pay and benefits. Now 30 years later this is just something I spend at most 10 hours a week on letting investments and side businesses roll it in. You could call my $200K package a side business now. Jokes on you ATT but thanks for the start and foundation. I never kept money in the 401K ATT Shares Match, always shuffled it elsewhere. When I finally quit or get surpluses or fired I will roll that pension into an IRA and be able to add another $40-$50K to the annual revenue stream. Thank god I never moved for this bloated pig or played the game to get ahead.

If anyone did this, that’s ON THEM….…

“many of us clawed and scratched and stepped on others as well as having chapped lips to get those Director and AVP titles and pay.”

The company doesn’t care how much “chapped lips” anyone has and your lucky if you get a thank you, when they show you the door once you’re surplussed.

It's not nice to gloat. Some of us had full time tele commuter status and are being required to fight traffic and come in 3 days per week. I know another person who moved from Atlanta to the Florida beaches and commutes to Atlanta now Tue-Fri away from his wife to keep his job. So I stead of 7 days now at the beach together they only get 2-3. ATT is messing with people's lives. You may have gotten lucky but many of us clawed and scratched and stepped on others as well as having chapped lips to get those Director and AVP titles and pay.
