Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

One size fits all approach

The trouble with the current leadership is they push a one size fits all agenda without trying to judge each situation on its own merits. For example, a 20 year remote employee that is a pillar of knowledge and would never move - force them to move or else. An employee very happy with their current job giving 110 percent - ask them to move to New Jersey, that includes a high cost of living and a long commute. Teams that all collaborate via teams anyway - make portions of the team move. An employee with children in school who would benefit from a true hybrid environment - deny that. This ultimately is destroying the talent in this company. We used to be treated as professionals. It must be the East Coast mentality to expect noone will actually do their job. What about the decades before the current leadership where the products, emoyees AND stock flourished? Xplain that FB.

Why 8-5, it's 9 hour workday now? No problem if OT is paid.

Someone here seems to forget that the dictator has ordered everyone east. So you all need to start working hours to support all time zones not just 8-5 eastern. Perhaps all the hall wandering folks in bh need a shift change and some actual work. Saying you need folks out west early tell the dictator to quit disposing of the west based knowledge base or you all need to be staffed until 8:00 pm eastern. We used to have full west presence but now it’s all done east. So step up and service all time zones

Oooh. A bootstraps poster who is also disdainful of the west coast. Has to be a member of the executive team. I enjoy watching not only employees but clients walk away from this sh1t heel mentality. Good luck pi$$ing on the folks you need to actually have a successful business. Can't wait to see how it works out for you.

Maybe try starting your workday before noon. That’s why WFH was cancelled

"High performance from the east coast is laughable. On teams call with bh all you see in the background are people roaming the halls doing nothing. Trying to find anyone in bh after 3:00 pm is a friggin joke. Trying to get anyone after 3:00 pm in bh on a mobile, you will hear from them the next day. "

There's a timezone difference. If you on the west coast, don't call after 2:00 PM. People at BH are mostly in transit and signed off for the day. If BH calls you at 9:00 AM, now tell me you like it.

Lol. Winning? In what regard? Stock has gone down since taking over. Clients either mad as he-l or bailing. Employees doing the same. Exactly in what way are you "winning"?

If your plan is to wait 5-10 years for this to fail, that’s comical. Current leadership have proven themselves and they are winning. WE are winning, get on board

He has to explain it to A TON of people. Clients, shareholders, employees just to name a few.

One correction to the OP, this is definitely a one size fits one approach. It's Franks's hair brain philosophy, nobody elses.

History is the best judge of success or failure. Let’s see how things look in 5 to 10 years. I’m betting FB will not be looking good.

Hmmm Frank doesn’t OWN this company And this is NOT a cult of personality. This company is OWNED by the shareholders, many of whom are employees. So quit being such a a$$ kiss.

He has to explain to the shareholders why the company's performance is lagging. Or did he already forget about the owner of the company?

FB doesn't need to explain anything, he's the CEO. Get over yourself and move on

I’ll never reconcile the need to RTO and “collaborate” face-to-face when all recent hiring is off shore. Also, I’m a middle aged Midwesterner and I’d gladly test my work ethic against anyone so kindly give that a rest.

They just want to force you to leave without severance. The goal is clearly to milk the last drop before sending it to a butcher shop for whatever is left, period. It's that simple. .

15 yrs at Fiserv. Thought I'd retire from here. Just put in my 2 weeks. Frank and his yes-men are destroying the culture and that is causing a mass exodus of knowledge and experience.

I bet that will do wonders for client scores...

"No one person is above the team."

I demand that all Fiserv associates get the same compensation as Frank.

It is only fair that all employees at Fiserv get compensated the same amount because all employees are equal in worth.

You can back date that to the start of this year.

Lol. High performing east coast. Thanks for validating the South Park episode on Jersey. "It's a jersey thing, you just wouldn't understand." Lmfao.

I guess "keeping up" equates to being an egotistical d!cknose that rubs everyone the wrong way? No wonder our client satisfaction is in the sh!tter.

Again, it’s called teamwork. No one person is above the team. The team acts and executes as one. If everyone does their own thing, there is no team. And I get that Midwest people struggle with the high performing east coast teams, but try and keep up
