Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Are contractors who haven’t been told contract is ending safe?

A lot of contracts have been terminated across teams. How about contractors that are still here? How does the future look?

I think any position at CVS is tenuous at best, especially contractors. I was laid off and the lack of leadership is appalling. Agencies were not informed, contractors were not informed when the layoff letter was sent out to FTE. Sam Choi said it would be cruel not to notify contractors, but in the end we were treated poorly. We officially heard something on our last day of work.

A project I work on is reaching EOL, but I'm at the end of the 3 year cycle I typically see with IT contracts. I'll move on to something else. Don't sweat it, this is a great economy for finding a new gig. Lots of companies that know how to excel are looking for folks.
