Is it just me, or does it feel that number is underestimating the true scope of this layoff?

We should definitely be told how many have been laid off by department. It is our business. And it’s shady that it’s being kept a secret. They can just as easily send a company wide email with the numbers. Shouldn’t have to go to google for information.
It's around 800 is what I heard
For me, it's hard to tell. When folks asked leadership, they would not give out the layoff numbers. I had to go online to find out. I think over time and after restructuring, it will be easier to tell.
I could be wrong, but it just seems it was bigger than that.
