I’m gonna FaceTime to say ‘welcome to Walmart’.
There's a lot of bait & switch remote job ads.
@ @sji+1oUxuXzH - Thanks. That is the most honest answer to available remote jobs I've seen in a very long time. I agree with everything you posted.
Only "remote" jobs are burger flipping in poodunk, nowhere-ville.
ATT sold off lots of its real estate years ago. HQ and central office buildings are about all that they still own. ATT must play along with RTO as they need to provide services to all those empty buildings (revenue) and work with multi-tenant building owners to use building access facilities. And they get to let tons of folks go as the cherry on top.
I know, I started another WFH job and I am also doing RTO. Can you people keep it down? I’m trying to listen to my 2nd jobs calls on the work phone they sent me.
Most require current skills.
Somebody's got to pay for them skyscrapers! If you think they will continue to sit empty, you got another thing comin.
Let me be completely honest with everyone here. Depends on the job of course, but yeah, there are thousands of remote jobs available right now. In fact, I just got and accepted an offer for one (more $ than I used to make at T). However, the reality of today's job market is also hundreds, and sometimes thousands of people, all with education and experience, applying for every one of those remote jobs. How many thousands of people have been laid off this year, and the lay-off are still going, plus the RTO? All those people worked from home for years, and obviously, they all want to continue to work from home. Remote jobs are available, and can be secured, I know from personal experience, but it's not as easy as just picking a company and applying. Get ready for some fierce completion, tons of rejected applications, unprofessional and long interview processes, ghosting and months of trying. As long as you're persistent and consistent, you'll find something.
Then take one and quit whining about it.
RTO is all about sitting on company owned real estate that they can't dump for 50¢ on the dollar. They're stuck with the real estate, so they're going to use it.
RTO is all about saving the world economy. Commercial real estate defaults will bankrupt the world economy, no joke!
there are so many wfh jobs available im surprised anybody leaves home
