Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

a tip

Here's a tip... In Outlook check your manager's and team member's calendars for meeting availability on Monday morning, if you see your manager's day blocked full of 30 minute meetings then those represent layoffs about to happen. Gives you a good indication of who on your team will be let go.

You can get unemployment if you get a severance package.
You just have to apply. They may make you wait 60 days before the first payment. The job market blows right now so waiting 60 days will be better than nothing.

With the severance details declared on the unemployment application, it was approved.

Make sure you reject the NDA and the severance package. This way you can immediately claim the significantly longer maximum unemployment benefits term available in your state, and cost HPE more money than the cr-ppy severance package does. Don't be fooled, despite his appearance, Alan May does his math and makes sure the employee ends up holding the bag, in turn protecting his millions in HPE shares per year. This way, you'll also be able to speak freely and disparage HPE in public.

How can you get approved for unemployment, if you are getting a severance package?

From recent experience, US employees can expect 11 weeks plus any unused vacation time if in a state where the employer is required to pay it. Medical benefits are cut at the end of 2 weeks. If you have a health savings account, any unused funds (for services after the termination date) are lost per the plan rules. Apply for unemployment as soon as possible and expect delays. Mine were delayed and a portion was stolen due to mail fraud.

If you get cut be sure to apply for unemployment on the Monday right after you last day. If you have a company phone port your number over to personal account as soon as you hang up from the wfr call. Send all the emails you want to keep to your personal email. Once you're cut the people left standing won't interact with you much the last two weeks.
Peace

I heard it has become unexplainably slow recently in support roles and when they point this out to the managers, they look d-mbfounded like, really.
I know they sign non-disclosure agreements, so they can't say anything, have a feeling it's big cuts are coming to North America.

But HPE is a great place to work still and Antoni cares!!!

My manager said the cuts go down on Monday the 16th. He was told to send the invites out Sunday night after 10pm. It's best to lull the sheep into a false sense of job security until the last possible moment.

The most likely date is Monday, the 16th.

The calendar of almost all director-level people is booked solid every day in this meeting happy place. I'm not sure that's a tell.

Has it started today or is it next Monday? I know they like to have the forsaken gone and off the books by November 1st.
