Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

The leadership at this company needs to be replaced

There are so many of the wrong people in leadership from the c-suite starting from the top all the way down to mid-level managers. I truly think leadership has given up. My team has horrible annual survey results every year and morale is at an all time low.

Most of the leaders on my team were promoted for no reason other than tenure at the bank and close personal relationship with their boss. My manager was promoted because she’s from the same country as her boss and they are neighbors and speak the same language. So many managers force their team to do all the work and take all the credit, while they provide zero leadership and are unable to make a decision. I’ve worked with several managers at this company who have no idea how to manage people or communicate effectively and respectfully. Upwards of 30% of leadership would probably need to be replaced including the clown at the top to turn things around.

There are bad managers at every company, but this is one area WF excels.

and cuts need to go three or four levels down the chain.

Way too many directors in this bank and most are sleeping on the job or spending all their time networking for their next gig. Risk and control functions are so bloated with these losers.

I think there are a lot of deadwood managers at Wells Fargo who are getting overpaid for doing nothing. They are useless and need to be removed. Cut the middle men/women to save the cost!

as a manager it is our job to ensure you are doing all the work. if I as a manager am having to do it then I'm not doing my job.

There is no leadership. Only corruption.
