Hearing one particular Edm VP is pushing her agenda to take over as the CHRO when the incumbent is dismissed. Lots of grumbling in HR about their reorg. Seems like comp values are only preached and not practiced there. Low morale in HR? Layoffs coming in new year? Anyone else know what’s going on in HR? We know it’s just going to reverberate throughout the company. Tighten your belts and brush off your resumes gang.

If I had a dollar for every time I heard “do more with less” I might be making the salary I deserve.
Most HR employees are working ridiculous hours, as soon as a VP or EVP makes a demand, managers push employees to get it done by any means necessary. It can be a high stress environment with little support or respect for work/life boundaries. There are some mangers who care about their staff but most care about pleasing the higher ups and hoping for promotion and recognition.

Have you talked to anyone in HR? Pretty sure morale has always been low. Everyone below manager is unhappy and their leaders don't care.
