Are they laying off any VPs? Do they really need all these level 5s?

Can they just go back to surplus cutting only a few at a time in different offices instead of mass amount of people in the same offices at once.

Dates are 10/19 and 11/17. These are the leaked dates from over a month ago and have been accurate so far from all previous dates and the 9/22 cut.

I saw this mentioned in another thread. In what form was the info leaked? A doc on Insider or some other way? I could not find anything on the insider site.

Sambar has teams loaded with L3s & L4s that don’t even make sense. Strategy groups with operations and C&E activities. Systems spread all over the place including a direct report to him. Weird org design…

Re post:
In his most recent town hall I think think Sambar said there were only 300 in his org required to relocate.

**the real question is, “…of the people who said they will move, how many weren’t telling the truth/just buying time?”
Some employees felt they had to be dishonest in order to get more months of pay.

This will be interesting to see bc once move date comes if employees dont show they are considered “no show/job abandonment” and are let go with no severance. Again, many know this and still chose to say they will move, 1/2 to get more pay and 1/2 hoping for a change by their move date.
Bottom line: these folks will add more to the number of employees let go next year.

Spread like peanut butter. Chunky peanut butter where the old people are nuts.

in the town hall he mentioned

  • 300+ forced to move
  • 30%+ rejected the forced relocation

that makes it around 100+ for the initial phase

I’m being surplus notification in Oct (not Sambar org), so whomever actually believes they are done, you may want to get a clue.

Good thing you were there for the conversation to fact check what you don’t know. But hey just standby and wait and see.

Malarkey, most, if not all, layoffs are done for 2023. Can't speak for 2024, procede at your own risk!
Get out now if you can, enjoy the holidays on your own terms.

Choy told our VP that we have more layoffs for this year. the number was low, 20 for Choy with a target to GMs. For Sambar the overall # is 400. Whoever said the new HR system will stop layoffs is 100% wrong you need to revisit the allowable actions and you’ll learn that terminations due to surplus is definitely allowed. But this tricky guys aka leadership want people off by 12/1. Happy holidays.

No more layoffs in 2023. New hr system being installed so layoffs are on hold until after January 1

My speculation is we’ll probably hear something in the next two weeks. I also heard we’ll be seeing more and more of employees quitting or voluntarily leaving the company due to move to Dallas or ATL thing!

Yes they are still laying off. Unfortunately unlike other departments, they are doing the stealth layoffs with no notice other than a call saying you’re out in 2 weeks. Had it happen under my VP with no notice given.

We was told by my boss that all layoffs were done for 2023. Not sure what's gonna happen in 2024, could be a bloodbath, who knows?

Already been told by ACE VP there are no layoffs scheduled for remainder of 2023. There will be in 2024 however

We've been told there will be minimum impact to Sambar org. Possibly 2%, low performers will be targeted. I'm just not sure how the company will downsize to 75K within the next year. You would think the number of layoffs would rise exponentially over the next year. Perhaps they are counting on refusal to relocate to hub locations to compensate.

Sambar holds several VP under him and these VP including mine assured us that there are going to be lay offs every quarter on top of the RTO. We had layoff in March, lay off in July, so there will be layoff around Oct/Nov.
